I use my mobile phone on the stop watch setting. I set it up before I go into the shop and then keep it in my pocket, and just press the button to make the start/stop. I've got lap timing functions and split timing if I need to time more than one thing.

I did this in a burger job where I got questioned once. I think as the staff didn't see me actually timing anything, they questioned my timings as they thought I'd made them up, but the trusty mobile in the pocket works every time!

You can also use your phone to make notes - make it look like you're texting when actually you're making a note of the servers name, description etc.

Probably too late to suggest it to you now but there was nothing to stop you doing a dummy run in that shop or another shop first.

I mean you have the questionnaire, you have the briefing notes. Do a dummy run and then you will realise what you got right/wrong then go and do the real thing.

This is exactly what I do too! I also set up a few notes on my phone before I go of things I need to check.

were at home ill so no time to read what all the hassle has been about this time - would be nice if we could all get back to being friends though just realised that with the latest TNS big supermarket visits - i took a competitor one last night for this friday, unlike the other ones (I have two more to do on Thursday) there is now NO mileage allowance. will mean the ones further afield i will no longer be able to do again in 3 months time as without that ive definitely made a loss :mad::mad::mad: just be careful if you go to select a lot like i did last month as i didnt expect to be down by that amount per job

I would love to do some of them if only to get them off the site!! Too bad that it requires a prescription otherwise I'd be there! :rolleyes:
