Phew, just read from Page 1 through to the end over the last few days. There's definitely been some highs and lows, but I've learnt a lot (some good and bad) from everyone's posts.

On the whole ABA-i debate - I think I'm a pretty computer literate person, but I only just managed to suss out how to get the clients in there earlier today - do they intentionally make it so difficult? I've managed to add 7 - am I missing any? Please PM me if you can!

I'm hoping to give the whole MS thing a go to tide me over following redundancy - hopefully got a good starting point with all the info shared on this site.

I did sign up to the other forum (dare I even mention it here!). I have an @mac email and not heard anything... Can anyone help?

Oh, and I also tried to take a look at your spreadsheet thingy - unfortunately I'm on a mac here and my version of MS Excel doesn't allow macros. Grrr!

Anyway, hello all, I feel like I've learnt lot already, both about MS and about you lot!

Hi all, I have just signed up to a few MS websites and was just wondering if waves of jobs come at the start of the month? There is not one job available on any of the sites I applied to?

    Hi Welcome!!

To be honest it varies, i don't think there is a specific time of the month when companies upload jobs, however some companies like Retail Eyes upload at strange times i have seen jobs go on very later at night, and also the early hours of the morning..... you will find it is FFF (fastest finger first with most companies)
My advice would be to sign up to all the companies on the first page of the MS thread, and do a bit of research on Goole etc to find other.... as there are plenty more that aren't listed.....

    Hope this helps! :D

Thanks Loola, I found it a bit strange with ABA-i that you have to add all the clients in order to find a job. I was a bit surprised to find that there was none on any of the websites and thats why I thought it must be because its getting on in the month and looking at other users signatures, they seem to be well set up for the rest of the month.

    P.S. I see you're in Glasgow too :T lol

Yes, the way Aba-i seems to work is very odd!

I only have 7 clients too - is that all of them? If there's more, I'd be very grateful to anyone who would PM me with the names/details of any others.

In terms of the amount of jobs on the sites - I started MS'ing in the very last days of June and in the first week of July, I picked up enough jobs to set me up until 20th July! For the past week or so its been dead, I can't find anything anymore - so it's lucky that I went crazy and collected as many as I could at the start. I've picked up 1 or 2 over the past week or so, but literally just a couple - 3 at most.

Fingers crossed for you that there is a second wave of uploads on some of the sites in the next couple of weeks. :cheesy:

Cheers! I only usually come on here to offer assistance now, having gleaned a LOAD of help when I started out 2 years ago I thought it only fair to share my knowledge but if it's not appreciated then I won't waste my time!

So Good Bye, if anyone wants to ask me anything, you can PM me.

Hey TG, don't go. I have replied to the troll but it will be the last time. He only posts on here to cause trouble, please don't give him the satisfaction. The next post that comes from him in the same vein will be reported. This is a nice friendly thread and everyone appreciates the help they receive. Don't let one idiot ruin that, remember, he is NOT speaking on behalf of anyone on here! xx

I work out the total cost of the job taking into account the number of hours, parking etc. You learn to be more selective with how long things take and which companies you can type reports up the quickest with! In Hollypear's case I may have done the job if I'd been going there anyway and wanted an item of clothing to keep, but I wouldn't have done it as two stand alone trips. Not sure if the return was part of the job or a "return at your leisure" type thing.

However, if you have other carrier bags with you, you could go back same day and say you bought something better elsewhere which would save a return trip.

Gosh Becles why did I not think of that!!! The return was part of the job but they didn't say whether to return it same day or what.

Yeah, that would be fantastic! However, if it doesn't happen at least I have time to familiarise myself with the websites, some of them are a bit tricky! :D
