Just had to cancel all my jobs for this week. 5-year old son has suspected swine flu. I probably won't be about much for the next few days.

Hope he's OK - I'm sure he will be.

I've just done the same. My 12 year old has flu - GP said that they are no longer testing for it and to isolate her all the same. She has two friends who were tested for it last week and came back positive, so it's pretty likely. I do hope that your little guy is ok. 12 year old is feeling miserable, but not at death's door or anything.

I'm frustrated with ESA. I did a job last week and the garage had closed down, so I rang them to let them know.

Yesterday it was allocated to my page to do again, so I declined it and explained I'd already been and it was closed down.

A man rang this afternoon, and he said he had a couple of similar jobs in the Newcastle area. I told him just to stick them all on my account and I'd do them tomorrow, but I never checked the actual locations with him as I was in the middle of cooking. Just logged on and he's added the closed down branch again - arrrghh!
I'm having a similar problem with ESA. I visited a garage but they didn't have any new cars of the brand that they wanted me to ask about. I chatted to the dealer but couldn't really complete the full scenario. So I filled in the questionnaire as far as I could and sent them an email. No response, but was going away the following day and didn't want them to not be able to get hold of me, so I rang them the following day and explained the situation.

The lady said that was fine she had the email so no problems.

I come home and find dozens of emails from them chasing up this job. I can't complete the questionnaire as it didn't apply when there were no cars to look at. But I was hoping for maybe half a fee as I did make the visit. Not sure what to do next. I've responded to one of their many emails but is frustrating. Can't understand why they're not listening to us?

I am having a bad day :( got bad stomach cramps so could have done with a day at home resting. Anyhow I did a bank visit for GFK 20miles away. It is a teeny branch with just a walkway that leads to two counters and two members of staff with leaflets on the wall. Nothing else there. I asked about relevant account and did my counter enquiry - all with the same member of staff who checked if i banked with them and i said no. There were not any automated machines of any sort and queue out of the door as I left. Anyhow I came home and did all the report and called GFK as I had to override to submit my report becuase there were not automated options and they told me to put all details in report which I did. Also said I would revisit if necessary to confirm (I thought I could try discreet photos if necessary as proof). Anyhow they called me back and told me my report is invalid becuase of this and becuase I have done my work wrong I am not going to be paid and visit will be reallocated (deadline was today so not sure how thats possible). Anyhow I am very upset as I did everything I could in a tiny branch and I offered to revisit as I will be in same town later today and I get treated like crap IMHO :( Ive got two more visits for them tomorrow at some bank (different enquiry) and I think one of the branches will also be very small as in small town as well so I do not know whether to now do the job or not incase I have the same problem again. I do not see how its my fault if the branch does not have these facilities and thus I dont get paid becuase their notes say this branch does have these things. I am very upset as I am feeling poorly as well plus GAP emailed me in middle of all of this to tell me they are also not paying me for a phone job last week. I am most upset about this one though especially as I have two more jobs tomorrow and I do not want the same thing to happen. Has anyone else had this with very small branches?

On one occassion when I rushed off and forgot to count the external ATMs I googled the bank and details were there. Why dont you google this one and send them the results ie. "This branch has no ATM facilities" etc. etc....

Got a call from Gap earlier, asked me to do a burger job which I visited last month and offered 2 stamp jobs. I told him it was very far from me and I did it because I had a few other jobs to do in the same area. The guy was lovely and said no problems. I took the chance to ask him about the coffee jobs and he said he would ask his colleague to call me in 5 mins if I am interested. Another guy called back in 1 min, asked me to do the orientation tonight and said that the equipment would be with me in 2/3 days. Even better I've just logged in to see that I don't need to do the test and the 2 stamp jobs are in my account without the burger job! :j

Although, now know never to go out for a meal with my Dad as if we ever get bad service when we're out (not that my parents invite me out with them much anymore! As I've fled the nest, I've given up those privaledges!) he always brings it up...

"My daughter was an Assistant Manager of a Restaurant! I think she knows what good service/food is!"

Could be a bigger problem if he now starts announcing "My daughter's a mystery shopper and she'll give you a rotten report!" :o
