sandyp mention it in the report and email them to tell them too. We don't have that chain near here so I haven't seen that brief. I know one of their pub chains you only have to have a receipt for the food, and they say if you order coffee at the end of the meal don't ask for a separate receipt.
Thanks ruthiejane,I have put in the report an emailed re too,Im sure it will be ok .

Yes but surely the expenses recorded have been genuinely incurred. Unless I was planning to drive round car places all day anyway then I wouldn't do them to make a loss.

I suppose everyone has their reasons depending on their own financial circumstances. I'll shut up now before I get anyone into trouble:o

Well, yes and no. You go out for a hypothetical meal which pays you £19. You spend £19, but you also "spend" 6p per sheet of printed instructions, x miles at 40p per mile, so you may well have "lost" on paper £3-4 but you've actually had a freeish meal out.

I had sunday lunch at the Italian brothers today and I m just writing up the report now and looking at my receipt the server has forgotten to add on my coffee which I HAD to order. What do I do now ,will I still get paid or should I send an email to RE about it.Cant afford to lose that reimbursement as it is not cheap to eat out there.

How weird, same thing happened to me. We both ordered coffees and she forgot to put it on. Fortunately I noticed, but bet she thought we were mad pointing it out to her, to get it added on! :rotfl:

I thought the allowance for this was quite generous - I was surprised. I had to order an extra glass of wine to make sure I spent up as close as I could!

Why would you want to make a loss on these:confused: I can understand that food type jobs are usually loss making but there is no spend attached to the car jobs.

I MS in my spare time, as I'm employed full-time on a PAYE basis. Any losses that I make in my self-employment mean that the tax that I pay in my "proper" employment is reduced/refunded to me.

Of course I'll tell the tax man that the expenses were genuinley incurred.

Thank you! I've just done that now. :) I have another question as well unfortunately! I also competed a pizza restaurant competitor assignment today and was unable to get a separate receipt with only my items on it. So I have had to upload a receipt with my items that I had to order as part of the assignment and the things my partner ordered as well. This is for Gap by the way, does any one think this would be a problem? And should I try and e mail Gap and explain to them?

No, that's absolutely fine. No need to contact Gap - it's for 2 people and we always go as a couple.

    Little question here!
On RE I know it says jobs are automatically released after 48h if you don't set a date. I picked up 3 expired jobs on Friday night with the plan to do them tomorrow. Have emailed RE my intention and tried to phone on Saturday.
My questions are, will these be released as I can't set a date without RE helping me and secondly if they aren't released and I phone RE first thing will they let me do them tomorrow still??
    Thanks for any help :o

    .

I got a tug from the revenue people about 18 months ago. Among other things they knew I was Mystery Shopping (goodness knows how)

They were surprised when I showed I was making a loss. I told them it was a hobby like playing golf. I didn't do it to make money I did it to pass the time. They were quite happy and I never heard any more fom them. Of course I had the proper paperwork to prove it and kept everything below the NHI level.

I've had a strange day I thought I would share and see if it rings any bells with other readers.
    1. I did a mystery shop so I divulged some of my inner most feelings on what I thought of my shopping experience on a web site to a complete stranger.
    2. I needed some groceries which I then had to scan and send the receipt to a complete stranger. Not only that but Mr T records everything I buy and knows my most intimate most shopping habits too.
    3. Having bought myself some new underwear I then entered the details (including description….!) onto another website so they now know my taste (and size) of underwear.
    4. Foolishly I bought a sandwich and drink during this shopping excursion and had to send a text to another complete strange who now knows where I like to buy my snacks and how much they cost!
    5. During the Wimbledon finals I was making a mental note of if I thought they were making good use of technology in preparation for the questionnaire I will need to fill out tomorrow so a complete stranger will know what I watch, when I watch it and what I thought about it!

Big brother is indeed here and seems to be watching me, so the rest of the country should be safe! I didn’t even register all the CCTV cameras that captured almost my every move as well.

Any bells anyone, or is it just me?
Couldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can :(
