Hello all
I used to work for (mystery shopping) NOP and a couple of other MS companies about three years ago I stopped doing it as the work seemed to dry up and I wasnt making muchmoney. I wonder if there is much work around now. Reading a few of your threads it seems people are making quite decent money. Any advice? Thanks for your help.
I think it depends on where you are located, and what kind of jobs you are prepared to do. I've only been MSing for about a year (just under, actually), and in that time I've noticed a definite downturn in the number of jobs I'm offered, and also the fees seem to be reducing.
I don't know if it's significant but the user names of posters on here have changed within the last few months so I guess there are a lot of new people MSing now, so the more people there are, the less work for each of us individually. Also some of the MS companies (RE for example) have apparently taken on loads and loads of new shoppers, which again, makes it harder to find jobs.
I think if you are prepared to put the effort and the time in, you can still make a few bob, but speaking for myself I noticed the work was getting harder to find and have been lucky enough to get a part time job so now I'm not so reliant on MSing but still do a bit to help out with the finances.
Good luck if you decide to take it up again.0 -
Oooh I've had an email from the Proof Readers at RE asking me to give them a ring! I'm quite nervous, first query I've had off them. Will have to give them a ring at lunch time...TWBM 2010 Wishlist:

I doubt it will be anything major. It's usually something quite petty tbh...Dan
