    Arrrghhh!
Just come back form an RE Spanish job - had spoken to them earlier on in the week regarding the confusion between the briefing notes and the questionnaire regarding drinks. Then whilst I was doing the visit (in the loo!) I noticed that the questionnaire also mentioned that I was meant to order a salad. The briefing notes that I porinted out don't say naything about it, but I am doing another one next week and the notes have been changed to include this. I have sent an email explaining all of this, including the fact that they sent out 2 emails regarding the drinks situation to everyone doing the visits, but still not mention of the salad.

Do you think they will pay me or not?:confused:

What a crappy visit. I wouldn't like to say if they'll pay or not. On the one hand, they could say "not our fault luv, you should've read the questionnaire". On the other hand, they might be nice. Not so long ago, I messed up the a job where I was supposed to buy "sandwich, crisps and yogurt", because I'd somehow got it into my head it was "sandwich, drink and yogurt". I emailed them to explain, and they said it was okay, they'd still pay. I suppose it depends on how important that item was to the client - if the client was keen to know things about the salad, e.g. how fresh it was or how it was presented, it'll probably be a big deal. If there were no questions specifically about the salad, it might not matter...

Thing is, there was NO mention on the briefing notes that I got though. I spoke to the woman on the phone regarding the drinks confusion and after that she said they would send an email to reflect this - they actually sent 2. But they never said anything about the salad. The salad is mentioned in the notes as in 'when you ordered your main salad, was it served on an XX plate?'

Well I have my fingers crossed but it's looking a bit dodgy either way isn't it?

If you keep a copy of the briefing notes I think you'll be fine. It's their fault not yours. It could have just been an old non-applicable question in the questionnaire, how were you supposed to know if it wasn't in the brief.

Thanks, that is good to know. I'll fill out the report and hopefully it will be OK. The briefing notes are completely different to the ones I printed off, but the emails don't mention any changes other than the drinks ones. On the one for my next visit it still says that I have already printed the notes - which I had - but I thought I would check them out anyway! Getting to see why people get annoyed with RE!

Hope it all works out okay for you in the end - the guys at RE are good, I'm sure they'll let you off if there's any way within their powers that they can. :-)

OK, so I've had just enough Merlot  to try to start a short discussion on the MS thread. Please indulge me, people...

In my vast MS experience and ultimate MS wisdom;), I have identified improvements/modifications which could be made on some of the MS job sites.... (I know, I know, and I really hate it when people tell me how to do my job - which they do on a daily basis - so I'm aware of how this may sound)

Anyhow, soldiering blindly on, these are as follow:

RE - wouldn't it be great if you could get rid of those jobs that you are never, ever going to take? You know the ones. They hang around for days on end and, either you are ineligible for them or they are not well-paying enough or whatever the reason. Wouldn't it be great just to click and remove them from your radar without having to scroll and scroll and scroll every time just in case something new is nestling amongst them.?

ABAi - it can't be just me, can it......? Several great clients to choose from but you have to search through each one laboriously - local, not local, booked, not booked, four searches for each client (and often nothing doing at the end of it). There MUST be an easier way to do this?

Anyhow, I've run out of Pringles now so I must get off to the kitchen and replenish supplies. I've also secreted a Boost bar in the fridge so I might be some time (no, I'm not a compulsive eater. It's Friday and I'm not going out:beer:)

Has anyone ever done the financial visits on TNS? what do they involve???

Thought I'd just have a look at these, as hadn't noticed them before. Hope you noticed that they say the visit will last an hour! I don't think so, for that fee! Not even a purchase to be made. Still, they are paying mileage on these ones!
