Is it the one where you have to reveal yourself and ask a staff member some questions?

    yes it is this one.

Just done one today - very straightforward! ( I was a little daunted by the brief but it was actually one of the easier ones I have done - especially as you can take notes in the second part).

thanks i think i might bring the local one in a bit sooner and then I will know exactly what to do for the one when I am away.

ho hum I am really jarred off! did lots of jobs yesterday and now not getting paid for a GR phone one :( I am annoyed as store was terrible no badges or uniforms etc etc etc and I had to go in twice to actually be acknowledged and served. So anyhow trying to open the form to find out what I completed incorrectly as they think I did not follow the brief for closing the sale and I know I did :(

Oh no, I wonder what you did/didn't do. I've got a GR one tomorrow so will make sure I've got the brief cemented in my head.

The guy who served me on my last MS told me his sister works in the one I'm MS'ing tomorrow so I hope he hasn't passed on my appearance details to her!

I'm a bit puzzled as there are still a number of TNS supermarkets available in my area. Some are not available to me as I did them within the last 3 months... and some are just not worth it for me now that they are not paying mileage.

I've picked up a couple, same town so I can do 2 in one trip, but I may have to release them anyway as they are in the school hols... but I just wondered why these others are still showing, since they are normally snapped up really quickly? Is it the hols, is it that the people who usually take them are not home from work yet? Or is anyone else thinking it's not worth it without the mileage? Genuinely interested to know because I would like to see them reinstate the mileage.

I don't think I'm in your area, but I've not picked any up as I wouldn't have thought they're worth it.

I did a proper supermarket visit for TNS a couple of months ago, and the amount of work, the complexity of the brief etc was just not worth the fee.

So, by association, I thought these would be the same.

    Why are they so popular?

Okay so I've just completed my first GFK shop and submitted my results but I'm pretty damn sure that instead of putting July as the month I did the shop I put June. I am SUCH an idiot, how can I fix this??

In the close of sale section I supposedly did not give them a chance to ask why I was not interested. I did do this though so I have obviously filled something in wrong on the form. I had loads of form problems with RE last night and that was the 8th job that I did quickly this morning to get them all in on time so I obviously made a typing mistake. Really annoyed as was bad enough having to go into the store twice to get served (had some problem with another mobile phone store as well yesterday that was also dire) and then the 3rd competitor one for GAP told me to shop elsewhere so I had bad mobile shops to say the least :o

thankfully had a wonderful bank job and branch was so nice that Id like to open an account and go there - best bank I have ever been in so that made up for it. They had just two counters with no glass so like banks used to be and I got the best service ever .... if only other branches could take note as the ones i bank with are sooooo useless and unfriendly

The express ones are quite a bit simpler and if you can get 3 or 4 in the same area can be quite an earner for a relatively miminal effort (when there was mileage allowance).

I guess it's just a combination of the 4 month rotation, no mileage and summer holidays.
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

no idea how you fix it - when i was doing last jobs in june i kept doing it by accident as i had been working on my scheduling for jobs in july so its an easy mistake to make :o

Did you get paid for the jobs where you made that mistake though?

There is really no comparison to the normal supermarket visits - these jobs are really quick and easy, and if you can get a few together, it's definitely worth doing. Unfortunately there are none of these stores on my doorstep so without the mileage I'm not at all sure it's going to continue to be worth doing them... and as I mentioned earlier, for some of them you even have to pay a parking charge as they are in the centre of town.
