Oh no, I've just grabbed a couple of these supermarket jobs and hadn't realised they are in the school hols! I'll probably have to release them.

I'm a bit disappointed actually as I notice this round of supermarkets suddenly and mysteriously have no mileage attached. I'm not so sure it's worth doing the jobs now, even if they weren't in the school hols. I do like these jobs because they are quite simple and straight-forward but really only worth it if you are passing anyway or if you can get 2 or 3 in the same area. I'm locked out of the majority of my local ones because I have done them in the last 3 months, so only a couple available to me anyway.

Is it just me, or is MSing getting tougher (money-wise?)

They got rid of the mileage allowance on the last wave. Like you said, it used to be great if you could get a few in the same area, but definately not worth going out of your way for now.
Perhaps by the Sept wave I'll be back in the run for all the jobs and able to persuade some lovely person to babysit  (or maybe I'll just pack it in )
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

TNS seem to be taking the mileage off all their jobs the way things are going:mad: There are none near me anyway and they are only worth doing now if I'm passing anyway. The trouble is I don't know this far in advance if I will be passing or not:rolleyes:

MS companies do seem to be wanting more for less money these days:(

Too true! And they seem to be getting away with it, too, the way the jobs are snapped up.

Any one have any ideas on how I can raise a couple hundred quid fast? Really skint this month and my mystery shopping money hasn't come through yet!
I can think of loads but they're all illegal! :D

I picked up a couple of the TNS fast ones and I didn't notice till after the fact that the mileage is gone. The only good thing is that these visits are pretty straightforward, but the mileage does make a difference.

It certainly does! Last month I spent an afternoon going round 3 of these supermarkets in a town I wouldn't normally visit. I did 48 miles in total. No way I would do that again without the mileage fee.

Two of them I had to pay parking charges (£1 and 70p respectively)... again, no way I would consider that in the future if the mileage fee has gone.

Still, I guess if they can still find people willing to pick up these jobs, they will continue reducing fees all over the place.

Good to see everyone is happier in here today :) I dont know what happened whilst I was gone!! I had a really busy day yesterday and then problems with RE last night so got all my reports in now - phew! Have rearranged 2 jobs for today to next week so I can have a bit of a rest. Was about to do the two visit catalogue shop for ABAi and then realised both bits are before 1500 so going to have to also reschedule that one as well now as not enough time! So just going to pop to boots bargain hunting and relax without having to mystery shop :)

Thanks for the TNS alert - I got a few to do later in the month which is great, apart from one all quite a way from me in rural areas but means I find out how to get to the for other times and I can do summer holiday stuff at the same time - son is 15 so he will be in car with Ipod no matter where I try to go :D Got one near an english heritage place (were members) so going to take him there for a free day out with a picnic. No doubt I will hear whinging and last time tried to go there with partner we got hopelessly lost and had a big row so I hope I can find it more successfully on my own.

Anyone else got the ESA gas job? Ive got one but was weird to see the scenario as not gas related! Fingers crossed I dont get noticed too badly when I attempt it next week as family are in building trade so I have company name and address in brain if I get caught out with a random question. Plus I have had to use the stuff before. Still sounds a bit scary though :D

Also anyone done the government ones for GFK before? I am hoping they are relatively simple. I have one in my town but dont even know where it is yet so I hope I can find cheap parking near by. Also got one when I go back home for holidays - what a place to spend an afternoon on my summer holiday :D
