Also anyone done the government ones for GFK before? I am hoping they are relatively simple. I have one in my home town but dont even know where it is yet so I hope I can find cheap parking near by. Also got one when I go back home for holidays - what a place to spend an afternoon on my summer holiday :D
Is it the one where you have to reveal yourself and ask a staff member some questions?

Just done one today - very straightforward! ( I was a little daunted by the brief but it was actually one of the easier ones I have done - especially as you can take notes in the second part).

I did my first job for GR at lunch at a supermarket. Had to make enquiries to various members of staff as to where things were. In the clothes department, I asked if they sold children's sunglasses and I had two members of staff hunting down two pairs they were sure they'd seen yesterday but may have been sold.

They gave me the phone number to ring to check if they were getting anymore in their overnight delivery and as I was leaving the shop there was a tannoy announcement:

"Please could the customer enquiring about Childrens' Sunglasses please return to the clothing department."

    I guess they found some!

I left the store anyway as knew if they had find some - I'd have to end up buying them! And I have absolutely no use for Childrens sunglasses.

I've managed to pick up an RE gym but does anyone know how much it actually costs to join etc as the website is stunningly unhelpful?
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I'm a bit puzzled as there are still a number of TNS supermarkets available in my area. Some are not available to me as I did them within the last 3 months... and some are just not worth it for me now that they are not paying mileage.

I've picked up a couple, same town so I can do 2 in one trip, but I may have to release them anyway as they are in the school hols... but I just wondered why these others are still showing, since they are normally snapped up really quickly? Is it the hols, is it that the people who usually take them are not home from work yet? Or is anyone else thinking it's not worth it without the mileage? Genuinely interested to know because I would like to see them reinstate the mileage.

I would have picked up some if I could have got a few in the same area with mileage. Without mileage it's not worthwhile. I suspect others are doing the same. I think they will still go but just not as quickly as they used to. I can't see TNS reinstating the mileage unfortunately:mad:

If they have difficulty filling any they will send out emails from the area managers listing the locations available and then they will negotiate extra mileage depending on how urgent they are.

ho hum I am really jarred off! did lots of jobs yesterday and now not getting paid for a GR phone one :( I am annoyed as store was terrible no badges or uniforms etc etc etc and I had to go in twice to actually be acknowledged and served. So anyhow trying to open the form to find out what I completed incorrectly as they think I did not follow the brief for closing the sale and I know I did :(

Dont know about the normal rules but I was only allowed to select 6 so that could also be part of it. Now I realise there is no fuel when there used to be I do not plan on selecting any apart from local ones again though.
