Did my first job for Tern on Saturday. I've fileld in the report on Sassie, but do I need to do anything different to get a refund for my purchases?0
-
You need to print off a purchase claim form. It is at the end of the guidelines section for each job.
When you do a stamp job and it states now you can purchase something from anywhere in the PO shop, does that include when you buy something like jiffy bags and have to buy it from the shop counter rather than at the PO counter??0 -
Someone ages ago came up with one saying "I am a mystery shopper" and on the back it said " Today is my day off"iNath wrote:A friend gave me an idea for this T-shirt, and for only £12.90 I'm tempted
(custom made from Spreadshirt).
So you're being served by this really grumpy jobworth who couldn't give a toss about you, what do you do?
Unfold your arms so they can see you t-shirt of course!
And wall-ah! Great service, a smile, maybe some balloons if you're in a greasy burger!* Now you turn to leave and they see...
*Not recommended for use whilst on an actual mystery shop.0 -
Hi everyone, just wanted to say thanks for this thread! It's inspired me to sign up to some websites and has also become a bit of a bible.
I'm going on my first job this afternoon, really exciting but also quite nervous about it!
I do also have a questions for those who use Retail Eyes? I've had a few assignments that have become available for me, but none of them have been local! A couple have been about 30 miles away, which I may have been able to get to on a good day. However I keep getting one this morning for a pub in Doncaster which is a whopping 200 miles away!! I've tried changing the defined areas to not include other areas, and I get the message saying it's saved my preferences, but the next time I login it's back again! Really bizzare. So any tips on whether this is normal or not is muchly appreciated.
My second question is about having to do drive through fast food jobs alone and really whether you have to be alone or not? I've got a breakfast booked that I was going to do on the way to work but I car share so wondered whether this would stop me getting paid?! If need be I can just drop my passenger off in the car park and pick him up after but I wanted to check if anyone checks whether you're alone or not?
Thanks for any help!!!0 -

Hello and welcome!
For RE, I'd say that's pretty much standard - I've been seeing jobs in Woking recently although I am in the north east and the most southerly location on my list is York - but for some reason I'm seeing Surrey!!! Weird, and inexplicable!
As for the burger jobs, I haven't done any myself, but from what I've read on here you do have to do them alone. If the staff don't like your report they will check CCTV and if they see you had someone in the car they will use this as an excuse to dispute the report and you won't get paid. Could you maybe drop your car share person round the corner and pick them up again after you've done the job?0 -
Hi Lil Me
If it says you have to be alone then you really do. They check on the CCTV and you are unlikely to be paid if they find out.
Retail Eyes often do show you some jobs miles away. Its a fault with their system and I'm afraid you have to put up with it. I too have my filters set to show me jobs further away than I would usually consider. Sometimes they'll fit in with a day out or something, also can mean you get to see clients that don't have branches closer to home!ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0 -
The Doncaster job is a recurring thing - I've had it more than once before. I wonder if its one they have real trouble allocating, maybe because it's in a really dodgy area or something, and they have the option to manually show it nationwide in the hope that some poor sucker passing through will do it?Dan

Yeh, I took a closer look at it and it's at the Airport Airside so you have to be flying with them. I suppose they'll get lucky at some point.0 -
Has the alerts thread disappeared
