Children don't start school at 2-3, so they generally don't do school uniform that size.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

i think you will have trouble finding school uniform in size 2-3, as that isnt school age. i think your best bet would be to go for slim fitting styles in an age 3-4, as most retailers ranges start in this age group

Would adjustable waistbands make any difference?0

I have seen age 2 trousers/skirts for school somewhere but for the life of me I can't remember where!! I'm going to have the same problem in September - DS will be starting full time school at 3 and a half (puts on flame proof suit ) and I always have to buy clothes smaller than his age so therefore I would ideally need age 2 trousers for him. My local schoolwear shop does his school sweatshirts in age 2 so I guess I'll have to see what they've got there. Although if he has to go for a little while in jeans then I'm not going to sweat it.

Sizes vary vastly from store to store for school uniform. I always found Mothercare's huge, built for chubbier children. M&S skirts and trousers were quite slim fitting, especially the jersey type ones.

It's the length which is more of a concern for me - DS is nothing if not stumpy!! Both he and DD have learned to live with adjustable waists as non-adjustable ones are like clowns trousers!!!

My daughter is quite slight and I got her skirts and trousers from Next Directory. Not too pricey either.Debt free as of July 2010 :j

Not particularly MSE but if you find out where the local private schools get their uniform from they'll probably have them in there. Quite often they wear uniform in the nursery where they start at 3 so they sell size 2-3 to cover the smaller children. The clothes are a little bit more expensive but are generally good quality.0
