  • Hi
It isn't the neg I'm worried about I could easily stand that. She knows who my supplier is and they are freely available - I'm sure you all know too!, but a moneysaver would always research with a shopbot first.

However my buyers obviously don't, but if the name of my supplier was staring them in the face they wouldn't buy from me. I am concerned that she will put their name in her feedback.

If she posts a link to your supplier in her feedback, Ebay will remove the feedback. It's against Ebay rules to post links in feedback.

Im not sure if its against the rules to mention the name of the supplier tho. They could easily just say for example its cheaper in Tescos and im not sure that ebay would remove that.

Like emms said the feedback will only be removed if the actual website url is used. If the buyer just put 'item came complete with TK Maxx label' or something that would be acceptable feedback.

I would offer a partial refund - but it would depend on how much the item was worth in the first place - this isnt mentioned anywhere? If she doesnt mention it anywhere tell her to start a chargeback! How did she pay? If she does a chargeback through ebay then they charge £15 anyway - if she paid through paypal then they wont charge her that - lets hope she never paid through paypal then she will get charged that!!!!

Has it occurred to you that her reluctance to return the item might mean it is not damaged at all and that the buyer is trying to pull a fast one? I'd ask for evidence that the item is actually damaged. Also, if it was damaged in transit, surely you can claim compensation from Royal Mail?

It sounds like she may well be trying to defraud you as she is clearly narked that she had to pay more than she thought she should have. That she is not savvy enough to shop around is her problem - not yours!

Call her bluff. If she can't provide evidence that the goods are actually damaged, then tell her you're going to report her to Ebay and the police for attempted fraud!

I think that you have hit the nail on the head. I don't think that it is damaged i think that since she bought it she has done her homework and found them cheaper, now she is pi** ed off at paying more and wants her cake and eat it.

This has been stressing me ( as I said not because of the neg I can stand that, but if she mentions my supplier) and life is too short, so I gave in. i will claim off the Post Office. If it had been another day I may well have toughed it out, but this weekend i just have too much else to contend with.

Thanks everyone the solidarity has helped and I will be better armed for my next one - because there will be one there always is!!

That's a shame as if she thinks she's got away with it, she may try it again on someone else. Won't Royal Mail also ask for evidence of the damage? In which case you will need to see at least a photo?

People like this buyer make my blood boil! What a parasite! Maybe wait for her to leave feedback and then neg her. She ought to face some kind of punishment for what she's done.

Any chance you can give out her id? That way we know to avoid her and can block her from bidding.

95% of buyers wont actually read your feedback unless it is a terrible rating.

Tell her if she leaves a negative feedback it will be returned. Then if she does then leave her something like '' ATTEMPTED FRAUD - AVOID PAYPAL OR NON CASH PAYMENTS FROM THIS BUYER " that should stuff her up a bit.
