Cress can be bought in the vegetable seed section of any garden centre/wilkinsons/lidl/aldi/tesco/asda/woolworths and probably loads more.

I put a 'wanted' request for plant pots on my local freecycle website and have had loads of offers. I have collected 4 black bags of various sized used plant pots and turned loads more down: you might want to give it a try. The people I took them from were really pleased to be rid of them too!0 -
Just checked on them this morning and we have lots of cress starting to grow and one little brussel sprout shoot - the kids are looking forward to checking now that they see something is actually under the soil! :rotfl:Win £2012 in 2012 challenge 0/2012

My recently planted nasturtiums are coming up much quicker and stronger than the ones I planted impatiently in early Feb!!
Although now I have the mini greenhouse set up and have a stash of pots I am getting even more impatient waiting for my seedlings to grow!0 -

I dont have anywhere to plant, so I went to the local pool and asked for some empty chlorine containers turned them on their side, chopped the side off and drilled some drainage holes in and planted things in them. So far.....
Potatos - left over sprouted ones
Onions
Shallots
Garlic - left over sprouted ones
Mini pot suitable carrots
and i'm propogating some peppers and chillis and calabrase.
And im also having another bash at growing some herbs, after my dearest kitty cat knocked the pots off the windowsill last time and killed them all. not a happy bunny then.0 -

I know what you mean! I check them all several times a day for signs of growth and my beetrrot and spinach are now just popping through the surface :j
You should have seen me last night though, at the mention of a possible ground frost on the weather report, I was hunting out old blankets to cover the mini-greenhouses and nasturtium pot, and dragging the tub of rocket indoors for the night"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
