I was going to plant them in some seedling trays - would that be ok? What do you mean give them an inch or two? Between each seed? Or and inch or 2 underneath for the roots to grow? or cover them with an inch or 2 of soil?
Sorry to be stupid, my mother has very green fingers (we call her house the plant hospital) but obviously it didn't get passed on to me!!

Yes, sorry, an inch or two between each seed. The bigger the seed, the deeper you plant, so for tiny ones just place them on the surface, then cover over lightly with a sprinkle of soil, and bigger ones a cm or so down. But then I didn't have any huge ones like pumpkin or anything, they probably go deeper.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -

Why not instead lend this unused space to a neighbouring bod to fill for you. Then you can share the produce without the pain?0 -
How long does it take in seeds trays before things start to sprout? My tomatoes are inside and they proute after 3-4 days, but my spring inions and carrots are outside and I've not seen any life in them yet?!?!! Have I killed them???0
