Am going to have a go at getting a £1 room today, was just wondering if anyone remembers whether they use the mastercard secure code thing? If so that might slow things down a bit! I'd like to be prepared for it :)
Saving up for our 2014 Las Vegas wedding and US road trip honeymoon, all deposits paid - just balances to go! :j

  • I know this sounds like a super daft question, however i went onto hoxton this morning and stated filling in my details, thinking i can just hit book(does that make sense?) however i've come across a snag. At the bottom of the page it says they will book the room at the best available price...and cancelations are not allowed. So, at midday do i not hit confirm, and not risk booking a room for £100 and find i'm unable to cancel it? Or take the chance, hit he button and keep my fingers crossed?
Sorry if this is a bit jumbled up, but i would love to try and get a room, however, i only want a room if i can get one at £1!
The other thing im confussed about is this countdown everyone is talking about. When i went on to the hotel site just...i didnt see one!
Thanks for any help in advance x
  • ok...found countdown thingy!
Do i go and fill in my details?
Also, once i've filled everything in, will it tell me how much the room will cost, or will they just take, say, £98 from my account?
    Does anyone know?!!!!

    Hi
I have stayed at the Hoxton a couple of times in a £1.00 room but have not got one the last couple of times. To answer someone's question the £1.00 and £29.00 rooms are exactly the same. The hotel is lovely, restuarant really good and there is free breakfast delivered to the room ( an orange juice, a banana and a granola yoghourt). Jamie Olivers's Fifteen restuarant is close by. Best of luck all.

I've managed to get rooms for both £1 and £29 the last three times they've run this, including a Friday night for £29 and Saturday for £1 this time!

    Some tips for people.

Go to the site early, it has a flash based link that counts down to the booking links being available. Refresh once it hits a couple of seconds left.

Although I have booked before I seem to have a problem with the countdown page. Do I just stay on there and just refresh that page a couple of seconds before 12.00?
