  • Just got Back from a lovely weekend away - The Hoxton was very good and I was quite impressed by the room! (apart from lack of net curtains so when I opened curtains 3 guys from factory across the road looked straight in room!!)
When asked about the "breakfast" I told them I don't like bananas so they put 2 yogurts in breakfast bag and an apple! Plus we were given 1 hours free phone calls!!! (pity we had no -one to call !) All that for just £1.00 !!!!!!!
I will certainly be looking out for the next deal!

I have £29 One-nighter that for family reasons I am unable to use.

Can I sell it to a fellow MSE member?

    6th April £29.

  • We was lucky enough to get a room for £29 and will be going on Weds night :D Cant wait! xx
So much for 'Money Saving' ;)
  • Even though it was much easier to access the website this time, by the time my details were in the night I wanted (a Wednesday!) was sold out. After that, the website wouldn't show me any dates at all so I couldn't try again.

I've tried this every single time and never have any luck. I don't understand how people manage to get it all through so fast :(

first time i came across the offer, got in there, did my stuff, and ended up with a £1 room for the weekend. great stuff
  • waste of time.. the timer went to zero and then nothing changed and went to info page of 5 steps and this was frozen too...i refreshed after going back and forwatrd till 12.06pm and then it deceided to announce that the £1 rooms were all sold..funny how they freeze you out untill they announce this...what a clever publicity stunt..wont waiste my time or electricity again on this....so clicked on £29 and by the time i filled in form it was going to charge over £100...I bet they dont have over 20 rooms at £1 in total...what a con...

Although I've no connection to Hoxton I don't think your assumption that they have 20 rooms at £1 is right. I have been lucky enough to get a £1 room for the last 2 sets of sales and this time managed a £1 room for a Saturday, then £29 on a Sunday so know it does work and lots of MSE'ers on the other thread have said they've been lucky too so I would keep trying. You need to refresh constantly once it gets to 12 midday (check your PC clock too as the timer works off this rather than 'real time') and then it's good if you've already registered before as you can do it in just a couple of clicks.

I used Firefox as my browser too last 2 times and this is much better than Internet Explorer (or I'm just really lucky) but I would suggest to keep trying - it does work.
