once again glad to see you back on here0 -
Hi LT, am so glad to be back.
Have so much to catch up on, how did the allotment do over the summer?
Have a garden now and the landlord has said I can plant as many veg as I want:D. I do like the new job it feels like I have been there for years......and it's only been a month lol.
Only thing I am now worried about is the bills fromthe old place, I keep thinking that the old landlord will shaft me, but hey, thats life.
So, plan for now: first debt will be Cap1. That should hopefully be cleared on Friday. Then Vanq......then the barc loan and then WF.:D
off to check my credit report as I havent for, ooo, lets ssee, 5 months.
And then PAD: even if itt's 1 pound a dayProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
thanks for remembering.
we didn't spend as much time as we wanted to at the allotment so we didn't get loads from it but we made a start. Getting ourselves a bit more sorted this year coming
sounds like you got your plan of action all sorted. I haven't looked at my credit report for donkey's years and i only ever had the free months subscription. Maybe i should have a look again. I know i had to make a correction on it when i did look at it so it could be worth the effort again.0 -
so, where am I know on the road to debt-free-idness.......looking back at my first post to aim to be debt free by last sept was a little optomistic especially as I had very very limited income....well DUH!
So, I'm not going to beat myself up or even set targets, it would e great if I can manage it by this year for my 40th but we shall see.
Thing change and I had a real wake up call a few weeks ago. My Dr suspected breast cancer, so off I went to the clinic, luckily it wasn't but it scared me into the fact that I don't want my relatives to have to pay any debts from what is laughingly called my estate.
I aslo re need to think pensions and life assurance, critical illness, so in a way my det has to be dealt with first.
Geographically challenged bloke is very supportive so it makes my journey a lot easier.
I have paid off 1 debt ( must change signature after this post):j:j:j Captial One has been laid to rest:j:j, I have a few more debts than are on here, I was thinking to only mention the official ones but realised that everyone else on here y cheating:oputs everyhting down and my way is technically, cheating.
I will alter my signature now:o.
Off to add my PAD which I find a great way of doing it and also must recheck credit report as I have been having problems viewing it.....watch this space.Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
congratulations on clearing a debt! what a great start to this year, onwards and upwards!
Well done for declaring all on your signature, it's liberating isn't it. Now you don't have to worry about the ones which are hidding in the background
Happy New Year hope it's a good one0 -
Hi LT,
It will be a good year for many of us I hope, even if it's just clearing 1 debt it is still good. Apart from my Vanquis who I can't get aa balance out of and WF who are such a pain in the butt I now have everything updated on my signature, it's a little bit scary:mad: and annoying to see exactly what is owed, but, it must be faced.
I had forgotten how much a PAD could help, even at £1 which is what I am aiming for every day, as extras.
tarted the day with a run in the winter sunshine, and am now off to treat myself to a coffee with friends, and to think about what I should plant in my garden, veg and flowers wize.........mmmmm, anyonee got any suggestions?Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
Have made my PAD for today £1 to the Vancquis card no idea what the balance is as yet as their offices aren't open and I can't get it from the automated service:mad:
Have signed up for the 1 debt in 100 days challenge but have absolutely no idea which one yto tackle lol, must have a think.
Today is going to be spent spring cleaning before work tomorrow:D.
I will aim for 10 NSD this month: and with that in mind need to hit the shops for things for the school lunches as the DD's head back tmw. Everything else is in order, as I have found such a cheap butcher:D:D I don't need to hit the dreaded T's and only need to top up on veg at the loca market.....so we shall see how it goes.
:TGot a text from literacy boy last night, saying he had finally cleared most of his debt and was down to his last£2K:T and since I know he was in debt to the tune of £40K about 7 years ago I think that's bloody amazing.Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
literacy boy has done amazing hasn't he?
Are you payign interest on any of your debts? if so i'd use the one with the highest rate the one you're challenge is for.
My challenge now that i'm changing current accounts is to finally tell Northern Rock about my change of name, just need to find out the name of the bank they moved me to and their contact details.0 -
Northern Rock can't trhow too much of a strop can they:D and as you are moving bamks don't panic.
My nsd came to a screatching halt about 10 mins ago as the microwave in work was broken, and I really didn't fancy cold bolognese, oh well, will bring cup a soup in tmw.Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
darn to the microwave breaking, only fair that work pay for your lunch lol
I've got left over bolognase as well today, yummy.
I found the paperwork for Northern rock as had a massive paperwork sort out yesterday, just need to find the marriage cert. copy it and write a letter, i'm sure i'll get some guff about needing the original but as they've moved me around i don't trust them to return it.0
