£500 for a car that then lasts 4 years sounds pretty good!
Ouch black eye! My son used to do TKD (don't recall any black eyes though, his was more non-contact).
What are you going to see at the cinema?
Enjoy your day

Went with a friend to see St Trinians 2: my DD's and her DD's had already been and she didn't want to go on her own, there was only the 2 of us in the cinema...what a film:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I couldn't stop laughing.
My TKD is semi contact: this was during warm up with no pads- oops.
Plans for today:
1) check online banking
2) Look at my OU project stuff that arrived yesterday
3) get key cut for DD2
4) do some work: probably business development
5) Birthday cards for step dad
6) Ironing -yuk
7) look at online savings accounts- seen a lot of discussions about naming them heheheProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

Hiya
I forgot to ask when will you hear about being an exam invigilator? And did you see it advertised or hear about it? I've just had a letter from the local authority asking if I'm interested in being a Poll Clerk again, so I've said ok to that - but its only one day's work and they've no idea when it is going to be yet.
I hope you're having a good weekend...

Hi,
Am off to London to register with an agency: the seem to cover UK wide.
There are Tradewind/Stanza recruitment you should be able to google them.
Can't remember where I saw them advertised though:o, but we shall see tmw....watch this space.
Might check out the Poll clerk idea as well.
On the MSE front, my mother has decided she will pay the monthly TKD fees for the next 3 months leaving me £54 x 3 =£162 extra to throw aat my debts. I will put that into a savings account towards my Barc loan OR my MOT which is due in June.Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

Hooray for mothers
We've got Blockbuster tokens (from Tesco points) and get a DVD out every so often. This weekend just gone we watched 'Dorian Gray' which is nothing like I pictured the book. Clever special effects though - but not all the way through the film which made them stand out all the more. I'll keep an eye out for St Trinians. TBH there was hardly anything in Blockbuster I wanted to see! I think that since we've been doing the 'seefilmfirst' thingy I've seen lots of the newer films - Julie and Julia, the proposal spring to mind.
Have a good day

I had no idea Tesco did Blockbuster tokens, think I might have to keep an eye on their website, it would amke life so much easier.
The exam thing is run by Tradewind recruitment. They are looking for exam invigilator and cover staff ( the work is set by the teacher before you get there) and they book you in advance.
They are looking for experience if possible of working with children (there are positions from nursay to school leavers) and a crb-though if you don't have one they would get you one.
Best person to call is rachel Dawson.
So we shall see how things go with them, I have a crb but they need to see if it is transferable from hampshire.Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

Where am i today? Well trying to type with a saggy old baggy old cat on my lap for a start.
Am out the door for a run slightly later, nice and easy as have an adventure race next weekend and don't want to scupper that, and lots of TKD training comming up as the world champs are later this year.
On the MSE side of things I'm not really sure where I am. Am having one of those days where it looks like nothing is coming down and more money is going out.
The money I had earmarked for the CC's to clear them has had to go elsewhere.....tyres for car and the bills that my housemate isn't paying.
Can I cut my food bills any more to make sure I clear these?:( am just feeling demotivated.
Tried to apply for a mobile contract yesterday -for my business not for me, as am paying nearly £200 a month on PAYG- and was turened down:mad: now what do I do? the contract would be soooo much cheaper and as 99% of my work is phone based.........
sorry rant over, really need to get out for that runProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

Sorry to hear things are not so good. I'd forgotten about your housemate
. If you can't get a contract phone can you change PAYG deal to help a bit??
Enjoy your run
