I got 832 up and 6144 down. Not bad considering the checker said 3Mb. I expect it to drop a little though, because I'm getting a few errors and my noise margin is a little low for comfort.

If you want to know if your exchange has been updated to ADSLMAX go to this link then type in your phone number, once your exchange comes up click on it then look for adsl max status, if its been enabled it should say 'green'.

I'm on BT option 3 package (20gb limit). It seems BT are dealing with customers on option 4 first and expect to get around dealing with option 3 customers from next Tuesday. According to sales I should get an e-mail around then and it will take a week or so thereafter for the upgrade to go through.

By the way you do have to request the upgrade and you are tied in to them for 12 months from date of upgrade.

I've been with BT Broadband since July 03 (the day my exchange was enabled) and have never had a problem with BB or the 'phone for that matter. My router a voyager 2000 (now not available) has never been turned off during this period (except when the leccys gone off), and according to sales will be compatible with the upgraded service. I'm glad I resisted the temptation to go with Bulldog when they came into the area offering 8mb service. Several people I know did, and have lived to regret it.

If you're on BT Option 4 and not had an e-mail yet, visit http://www.bt.com/broadband and click on the option 4 upgrade icon on the left and place your request for an upgrade!
