For those of you who are thinking of Buying a Merlin Annual Pass: Read this first,
London Attractions Exclusions
In order to ensure the best possible guest experience and to abide with Health & Safety restrictions, entrance into The London Eye, Madame Tussauds London, London Dungeon & SEA LIFE London Aquarium is restricted to after 3pm for Merlin Annual Pass Holders throughout the whole of August.

Funny they did not say this when selling their passes... they can add dates and attractions when they want!

As a regular theme park visitor (Thorpe Park, Chessington, Disney Paris in last year) tho it has been a while since i went to Alton Towers, these places are always very very busy in the summer months.

I went to Thorpe Park last September and queues of over a hour were very common so i can imagine how bad it is in July and August, Chessington doesnt seem to be so bad, as they have the zoo etc as well as the rides. Disney was the worst when i went last July it was madness with over 2 hour queue on lots of rides.

I no it seems a shame when you go along way and pay alot of money for your day and its ruined by queues, but isnt that just part of going to this kind of place? Everywheres busy in the summer (i queued for nearly 3 hours for Madame Tussauds on a satuday in August last year!) and theres little you can do but put up with it or avoid going during the busy seasons.
