Wonder if you could contact the FSA on this matter and see what they can suggest.

I think people are getting confused here between PPI and insurance against damage, stains, etc? Does it make a difference to the complaint?

Not sure if it's possible to mis-sell the latter type?

This is nothing to do with reclaimin PPI.
It seems to be a simple dispute between a customer and insurer as to whether damage is fair wear and tear, or accidental damage.
What is it the OP is trying to claim?

    Hi there

Going by the OP's first post, it seems that she was talked into taking this out, and then the OP could not make a successful claim where this was within the guidelines of the t&C's, have I read this correctly? Cheers.;)

I think the OP needs to look at a few things.
What damage is the claim for?
Does the policy say this is covered?
Does the policy specifically exclude it?
Were they told that it would be covered?
It may just be that they are trying to claim on an insurance policy for something that was never insured.

I think that the crux of the matter is

The company is saying its fair wear and tear and the OP is disputing this.

We are all persuaded to take out insurance, none of us customers actually ask for it.

I dont think the charges will be given back because then the OP would have to claim it under Miss selling

They, IMO are two different entities.

but the dispute between the OP and the Company's opinion on Fair wear and tear should be questioned.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
