Tony, welcome to the money saving consumer revenge Insurance forum.
Despite your genuine mistake and you/your brother/Dad holding your hands up and being willing to put things right you get snide uncalled for innuendoes thrown at you by the Insurance loophole supporters.
My guess is you wont bother asking for help again, and that’s a shame because people should not be allowed to shout you down and be abusive.
This forum is well supported with Insurance bods, and mainly run by them, some are helpful some not, you are exchanging comments with the latter.
If I had any advise what would it be?.......................Tell them to  wistle for it maybeCampaigning to recycle Insurance Policies into Toilet Paper :rotfl:

and you would be giving advice that could lead to far more serious repercussions.
The OP whether inadvertent or not owes them this money.0 -
Pedro Lilias is not connected with Insurance Companies, he is well known troll on MSE and delights in placing posts that are contentious. Click on his previous posts and you will see he places posts on various different forums.
The only other posters have been shelly who made a valid point, Quentin who also made a valid point and myself and I gave advice to help the poster.
Tony I also recommend you click on Lilias's other posts (Click on his name and it gives you the option), you will then see it is not just you he annoys with his posts. Please don't let him put you off posting on MSE in the future as you will find the vast majority of people on here will try their best to help / post helpful opinions. (If you want to ignore Lilias's posts there is an option to ignore him which means you cannot see any of his posts)0 -
Ok dacouch I take your point, I wasn't getting at you 3, however if he is know for this it ought to have been said before he was allowed to go on making snide commentsCampaigning to recycle Insurance Policies into Toilet Paper :rotfl:

Pedro click on his name and have a read of his views on any topic you care to mention. You will find he upsets a lot of people whether intentional or unintionally.0

You always get the odd person who wants to spoil it for others. I don't understand the fact if he hasn't got anything valuable to say - don't post!0

Due to the claim, they probably won't be willing to reduce the amount you owe. I suppose the best thing to do now is to come to a repayment arrangement with the insurer. Perhaps make a token offer then agree to pay a certain amount every month?0

glider3560 - exactly what we were thinking. We will suggest this if they can't help further.0
