Applied for 4 x BA return flights to Mexico City well over 10 months ago and still nothing in the post. Anybody have an update on what's happening?

    Thanks

I'm still waiting for my refund. The first reference number I was given after applying online is not recognised by their system (I must have been one of the very first to register - they couldn't explain how it wasn't recognised), so I had to re-apply in July when I first chased it up.
    Hope it'll come through soon!

I've also had to re-apply as when I chased them up they had no record of my application either!

After re-applying for about 30 flights after they only sent me a cheque for 3 qualifying flights in June 2009, they sent me the following letter.

Due to the large number of airline records involved in the settlement, some claims require aditional research to confirm eligibility. The remaining flights that were submitted on your claim form are being reviewed. If it is determined that a flight is eligible for a refund under the Setttlement terms, then you will receive payment in one of the future mailings. If additional information is needed or if a flight is found to be ineligible, you will receive notification of the results and instrutions on what options are available. The first payments to qualifying claimants began 5 June 2009. The Settlement Administrator will continue to make payments throughout the claim filing period, which ends 31 December 2012.

Once again they have said they can be reached by email or free phone 0 800 043 0343.

This is VERY frustrating - I know I AM entitled to a refund and they don't seem to be able to cope with the amount of admin they have to do on this. Wouldn't be so bad if they agree to pay interest, but they have not...... I wonder if it is anything to do with BA making such a loss at the moment. I THINK WE NEED MARTIN ON THE CASE IN CASE THEY TAKE THE FULL 3 YEARS TO REFUND US  TOTAL SHAMBLES !!!!!!!

I shall be writing to them again to let them know how unhappy I am anyway.

  • I claimed for 10 return flights with Virgin from Gatwick to St Lucia, 7 in 2005 and 3 in 2007 and received a cheque for £24.16! I was very shocked at the small amount and have contacted them for clarification many times, but they've never responded!

Seems that they had paid out on some of my trips but they sent it to an employee who also claimed for it even though he did NOT pay for the ticket.....

I am told that it is up to me to take action against my employee (no longer works for me).

Anyone know if this is right. In my opinion, they paid it to a person who clearly from their rules - did not qualify for a refund
