I'm sure there are loads of ways you can save money, which will actually give you more money to spend on your house. Logical thinking!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Hoping somone can help me.
My offer on a house has been accepted (I'm currently in rented), and i've received confirmation in writing from the estate agent, which has also been forwarded to my solicitor.
What are the next steps?
My motgage application has been submitted and is currently under review.
I have commissioned a Homebuyers survey, waiting for it to take place and then get report.
I have instructed solicitors
I am waiting for the estate agent to send me the completed fixtures and fittings list and I'm going to request the EPC report.
The solicitor is hopefully doing all the appropriate searches.
Presumably i have to lodge 10% of asking price with solicitor in time for exchange.
I gather i need buildings insurance at time of exchange
I need to wait for mortgage offer in writing before we can exchange i think
After exchange I would need to lodge the remaining monies (including stamp duty) with solicitor
I will book removals as soon as we have a completion date
Are there any other steps/anything else I need to do.
I want to do everything I can to speed up the process
Is there anything i've missed out?

Buying the house is everyone dreams. It's fact that if you are paying rent, you were clearly wasting your money. It's better to own your personal home and pay the interest, by which one day will come, when the house is finaly yours, but it's not applicable in paying the rent.
A new service is available that notifies you when your dream house or condo is listed for sale:0 -
Totaly agree.
This is the best time to buy home. but what would any one do, when anyone looking to buy house in his or here desired location.A new service is available that notifies you when your dream house or condo is listed for sale:Any idea or suggestion would be much appreciated.0 -
The interest and mortgage rates now are very low. I tried to inquire the other day and it is true.0

hey....
To know the background info about the seller's position, we've found it useful to find out how much they paid for the property. This can give you room for negotiation if you know they got a real bargain and are now trying to sell for a much higher price. If you register with Rightmove you can get sold prices for the last five years free, otherwise they are quite cheap from the land registry website, about £2 I think.0 -

You can also get them from the Zoopla website for free. No need to sign-up, just enter the postcode you're interested in and select the time period you want the view. They tell you sold prices and home values as well as other things.
I use this website to find out what the property sold for, to get an idea of what sort of offer you could put in. I'm a first time buyer, so I need to learn all the tips and tricks to get the best deal possible0
