  • No i rang them to explain fully over the phone what had happened. He then went on to say that it was no win no fee so they can look for free and see if i have a case, which he said seems like it could be pretty strong.
  • Also when i told him what the letter had said he laughed and said yes they usually say something like that? does this mean i still have a case?

There is nothing in the thread you have posted so far that gives any hint of a mis-sale. Indeed, quite the opposite seeing as two claims were made and paid.

Many claims companies will make things up to get you to sign up with them. I cannot see how they can for one second consider it is mis-sale.

They have given you false information.

The 2005 ruling applies to finance companies and loans with in built PPI. Not PPI sold by financial advisers. Also, its the date it was sold that matters, not the fact it was still being paid after that date.

Also, the PPI/MPPI has to be classed as not suitable. Having two claims paid out pretty much proves it was suitable.
they also sai that they might be able to right off the loan or something didnt get this part?

Again that is wrong. The debt you mention is a mortgage and its MPPI not PPI against a loan.

Reps from claims companies are usually unqualified to discuss financial matters and will feed you rubbish.

They get very little training in the actual legal side of things. Generally they are self emplyoyed on a commision only basis. This usually means they get a small amount as a referral fee and then a larger amount if you sign up and pay them something. That is why they will say anything to get their initial fee.
  • so do qualified solicitors deal with the claims?

so do qualified solicitors deal with the claims?
Generally only once you have paid them some money.
  • oooo i thought most of these companies didnt use solicitors because they didnt have to be one to do the claim... thats why i was always sceptical of using them because they do the same service as what anyone can do themselves....!
