Good afternoon OS lovelies!
BitsyBeans - Shame you didn't get up to the Tor but it's a bit of a hike if I remember rightly. Glad you have great weather and hope your cold gets better fast!
sunnyday - my pepper plants that I grew from seed are just starting to flower too and despite growing them last year I am still ridiculously excited!
Halight - woohooo you have beans! My dwarf french beans look gorgeous with the red and white flowers but no beans yet.
Penpin - sorry to hear about your sister. Mine hasn't spoken to me in two years. It's awful that you are stuck in the middle and you are right - she should think about the kids.
Ladyshopper - my 12 yr old cat has been having intermittant fits for just about 18 months now. They really upset me and are horrible to watch, but she is still here and in between them is just herself again. She hasn't had one for about 4 months now so keeping my fingers crossed. I hope your darling cat is the same, it's horrible thinking of losing them, I know.
Jayward - hope your procedure goes well hon
Hockey - thank you!
Meanmarie - the candles burn and bring the wax up into the 'stem'. I have had it done before and it's lovely and relaxing if nothing else!
Gorgeous hot weather today again so hoping to get back out in the garden later. Need a shower and hair wash today which always takes a while and we have friends coming down for dinner later so if this weather lasts, we might have a bbq.
Have decided to have cream cheese and banana sandwiches for lunch. I am not pregnant but I do love them!! BM pinged about an hour ago so it's out cooling off, and I see my OH put out one lot of washing already as the line is laden.
I hope everyone has a good day. Warm gentlefor anyone who wants or needs one.

Afternoon everyone!!
Its fabulous weather here today and we've been making the most of it
I rushed round like a headless chicken this morning getting all the housework and washing done so I could take YS out to Hollingworth Lake to feed the ducks and go for a potter round the lake.It was well worth the run round as it was glorious. We nipped into Gordon Riggs' Garden Centre on the way back to squizz at the fish but I wasnt impressed as the tanks all seemed to have dead fish in which isnt a good sign:mad:.But OH and YS were rewarded for their good behaviour though by getting an ice-cream to eat on the way home
Its the hottest day of the year so far here and OH strangely has requested Beef Stew and Dumps for tea and I've obliged.Should be fun later watching the kids sweat whilst eating their tea:rotfl:
Three loads of washing have been out and dried on the line today so there'll be a fair mountain to iron tomorrow:oJust tea to serve and washing up to do and my day is done.OH will bath the kids
OH is back at work tomorrow and its forecast rain so I think ys and I will have a chilled out day
MSD-CREAM CHEESE AND BANANA!! If I didnt know better I'd be getting the knitting needles out after that post:rotfl:
Fairyelephant-Did you post yesterday?I didnt see it if you did so please put me out of my misery and let me know how you got on yesterday my fingers are killing me from keeping them crossed so long:D
Penpin-As they say if you could choose your family like you choose your friends how many of us would have the family we have?Hope things resolve themselves with your sister soon as you dont need the hassle

Hi Guys!
Thanks for all the comments. I do appreciate your honesty and I am just going to let her contact me as I dont have the energy to argue...whats the point..damage already done:rolleyes:
Anyway, I had a niece surprise that my nephews wife came for lunch. She called earlier and I said come round, so she did. I had a quiche in that I got from Mr M for £1 and was delish. Did a mixed salad, boiled 2 eggs and some jersey spuds reduced to 20p with bread and butter....lovely and light. We've just had beans on toast for dinner as none of us really hungry.
OH has been pulling off all the skirting in our room today and it looks like a building site...hopefully this time tomorrow it will be all done.
Glad you liked the film Jackie0.
Hugs to all.

just popped in to wish JackieO all the best for tomorrow, been sunshine and showers here but we managed to go to the park with the playgroup which they all enjoy
my auntie was reminding me of a recipe we used to have years ago broth beef and stuffing, basically a pan of broth made with a biggish piece of boiling beef and the oatmeal stuffing cooked in there too so you had the soup first then the beef and stuffing with potatoes, yummy
to make the stuffing grate an onion into oatmeal and wet with some soup, not too much though, then pack some dry oatmeal on top and slide into the soup, no need for a cover, i must try it and see if it works lol
Penny-Pincher well done to your dd x and your dh will do well with the signing course as for your sister, doesnt look like anything you say is doing much good, mores the pity
rosehip vinegar
put 20-30 hips in a jar cover with cider vinegar then leave on a sunny windowsill for a month then strain
for a sore throat put 1 tbsp into a cup of hot water and honey
rosehips have vits ABK&C
hugs to all xx0 -

Morning all,
Really nice day so far, 2 lots of washing to do and get on line.
DD asked me to light Hopi candles in her ears this morning....she has a lot of ear and sinus trouble and has only finished an antibiotic so decided to try these....sure I saw someone here mention one some time ago(?). She is still resting after second ear so don't know what miracle to expect!
Need eggs, milk and maybe something for dinner, most of what I have in freezer seems to be pork, which DD is not keen on, so will see what's on offer when I go to shop....only have €10 to spend in all so it will have to be a good offer!
Just been out watering some containers, they are really feeling thirsty, some things have even died off, so must be careful that nothing happens to the veggies.
Dishwasher to be emptied now before I can go to shop!
Marie
I have mentioned Hopi ear candling on here before, I have it done regularly as for me it keeps my sinus' clear. I had a quite a good result the first time but it really improved after a few sessions. I now go once every 3/4 weekx.
x
Best wishes for tomorrow JackieO

Evening all
Another flying visit from me, I'm feeding a neighbours cats for a couple of weeks so I have to be up at 5:30 to fit everything in.
The lettuce is still cropping well & I'm picking a bowl of strawberries daily.
D day for hubby tomorrow, he's very stressed, but we'll know either way tomorrow.
I used to use ear candles on my DD, she found them very soothing.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester
