LOL, Refused a credit card

Those records will be on that site for decades so it's not much evidence for someone saying they 'bank with HBOS'..
You asked for a link to show HBOS is a PLC and a "standalone entity".
I have pointed you to an authoritative source that shows it IS a PLC. If you decide to wind up the company (voluntarily or otherwise) it will show very quickly. As does loss of PLC status.
As for "standalone entity", all companies are a legal person.0 -
What have fish got to do with my being refused a credit card ?
I think it's funny I was refused by my own bank. I was accepted by Barclays. Though I do have a history with them since I use their clients account for tenants deposits.
I will be ceasing all activity with HBOS once next months DDs' have been paid.
I also ordered some travelers cheques, & some currency (£100 each country) tonight.
For those rare beasts that don't know what a travelers cheque is

You don't have any business with HBOS. Going around in circles here but my point that HBOS isn't functioning in any reasonable manner is proven.
Yes, their name is on a few sites, old forms, contracts etc but it's not the same as saying "I'm with HBOS". Which is wholly untrue.0 -

Only not proven to your satisfaction, it seems. Wikipedia sums it up quite well: "The group became part of Lloyds Banking Group through a takeover by Lloyds TSB. This came into effect on Monday 19 January 2009 after both sets of shareholders approved the deal. HBOS continues to operate as a separate organisation within the new Group as a subsidiary - although over time it is likely to be restructured." [Emphasis added].
HBOS plc is still registered at Companies House as a PLC without any petitions (voluntary or otherwise) lodged. And we have glider3560's quote from the Lloyd's website ""HBOS plc is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group plc and is one of the main operating companies of the Group."Yes, their name is on a few sites, old forms, contracts etc but it's not the same as saying "I'm with HBOS". Which is wholly untrue.

jemma -T did you get out of bed the wrong side:rotfl: why oh why are you making such a big deal that somebody said HBOS!!! Are you going to correct everyone when they say Alliance and Leicester instead of there new name ???

Actually not, it was a moron who thought buying a failing Dutch bank for an inflated price would be a good investment.
HBOS is in fact a wholly owned subsidiary of Lloyds
Whilst the two major Scottish banks do have much in common (generally in financial ruins and majority owned by predominantly English taxpayers), it was in fact just the Royal variety that had such a penchant for failing Dutch banks. HBOS managed to take themselves down without any outside assistance.0 -
Jemma hun-I think you need a hobby
