Ask Jemma-T - she brought up tropical fish

HBOS is no longer a legal trading name. Try either Bank of Scotland PLC or the odd advert with the words "Halifax". Both of course now owned by someone else who would not want anything to do with "HBOS".
Lloyds Banking Group - lol. :rotfl::rotfl:

I'd just like to be clear that I have nothing against fish. That includes tropical fish and cold water fish too. Salt and not salt varities too.
There is no such company called HBOS. I didn't say there wasn't mention of it. Obviously, the name is still around but it's been and is being erased. So for someone to say they're with 'HBOS' is quite wrong. All mention of HBOS has been removed from all my BOS accounts except for the security certificates which will be 'HBOS' until the certificate expires. The name and brand is dead.
The whole Halifax + BOS was a disgusting thing because overnight it turned my local BOS (a bank) into what looked more like an airport business class lounge. Everything all relaxed and 'easy'. And this is directly to blame for the state of the banking industry along with all those thieving and lying banking managers of course.
We're all paying for HBOS and it's a filty name -hence- nobody will use it to try and sell anything.0 -
Did you not read my post above? HBOS plc still exists. In fact, it owns Bank of Scotland plc and is itself owned by Lloyds Banking Group plc. There is no such company called HBOS. Can you point me please to a link where it shows HBOS is still a standalone entity and a PLC?0 -

Half an answer... webcheck at http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/ shows it's still there as a PLC.0 -

Half an answer is just that. Those records will be on that site for decades so it's not much evidence for someone saying they 'bank with HBOS'.
Show me where I can buy a product from HBOS.0 -
Oh for heavens sake, stop being so petty. :rolleyes:0
