My son innocently missed his last payment to Sky, he had cancelled the DD too early. He went abroad for 4 years and then came back to the UK . They eventually traced him to my house where he hadnt lived for 7 years.
They had passed the debt on to an agency who were looking for him.
they were jumping up and down cos i wouldnt give them his phone no.
I told them he would get in touch with them, which he did within in week and paid this last payment over the phone. The princely sum of £14.00
It must have cost an absolute fortune in tracing him.
OP, if you are moving, why dont you just transfer the SKY to your new address for a time?make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

OP, if you are moving, why dont you just transfer the SKY to your new address for a time?
Bear in mind that the agency probably bought that debt for a pound. So for them, it can be worth chasing small debts up.No free lunch, and no free laptop
