I couldn't agree more! And I provided compelling evidence in this post:

) they pick out certain 'target' products and pitch them at a ridiculous price to attract punters who they hope will go on to purchase stuff that does derive a profit.
I'ma gonna try the curry sauce in the week with chicken and a bit of pineapple chucked in, I think it will be just fine
I've recently bought the soap and its an absolute bargain - and it actually feels like it cleans without stripping my hands of the skin like some soaps and cleansers do
Teabags I do buy, I just leave them to brew a little longer than the red label and they seem to be pretty similar in taste.Let's get ready to bumble! :rotfl:0 -

That's exactly what we did and it was lovely. And when you consider that the cost of the sauce and pineapples combined comes to precisely 22p, it would have been churlish to criticise even if the taste wasn't so greatCall me Carmine....

i wonder has anyone tried the cheapy morrisons curry sauce? i don't have an asda here (though i shop them online) and the tescos is tiny and doesn't sell much if any value products but we do have a morrisons.
i'm really more interested in the jars then the curry sauce as i found an excellent source of free berries that will be ripe in a few months so i need to get some more jars, i can get empty ones from a local charity shop for 20p but i'd rather buy curry sauce and get food AND a jar for even less!0 -
Mmmm, had some Morrissons curry cauce last night - nice! Just like the stuff from the Chinese takeaway. Only 9p when I got it - would deffo buy again.0

I tried this last week on the basis of reports here and on Old Style. I thought for 5p if it's that bad I can tip out the contents and just use the jar for putting something nicer in at Christmas. Cos empty jars aint cheap!
It's really OK. Not quite the depth of flavour as one you would make yourself - or get out of a more expensive jar - but really not bad. It's quite mild too. Next time I'll add a few bits like raisins or coconut and/or a bit more chilli, whatever's in the cupboard.
I used fresh chicken breast but as that's quite premium, and I'm not sure the sauce quite warrants that treatment, I'd probably use leg/thigh off a Sunday roast bird, or use thigh/drumstick pack.
Sainsbury has fresh thigh/drumstick packs (4 sticks and 3 thighs) on BOGOF at the mo (well it did yesterday 15th). £3 for two packs.
Will be using it again though.0 -
I had my first jar of 4p curry sauce last night, chopped some onion, potatoes and chicken breast. The curry was nice, even mr Zippybungle liked it (only told him it was 4p after he had eaten it
).
Will definately stock up on a few more jars, usefull to have in the cupboard.
I would have used it in the slow cooker with chicken thighs, but I melted the wire on my slow cooker
