The sainsburys ones should be on the bottom shelf within the indian jarred sauces section. Why can I never find these in the supermarkets! lol. I think I'm going to have to look harder in future...
Not sure on the other supermarkets.

Its gone down again! Its now just 6p a jar!! How they can make profit on that I don't know!!0
-
Simple answer is they absolutely don't make a profit on it! There's no way on earth, the jar itself would probably cost 6p+! Like the tea bags and a few other things (3 soaps for 13p, anyone?
) they pick out certain 'target' products and pitch them at a ridiculous price to attract punters who they hope will go on to purchase stuff that does derive a profit. Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Thanks - am going to have a look for that. I have some veggies I want to make into curry and usually do my own sauce... if I don't get time to do my own, that looks a good option!
Thanks :-)

strangely enough - the basics/economy ranges are generally healthier with less sugar/salt/rubbish than more expensive brands!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
I have used the sainsburys cooking curry sauce for ages and it did start off at
4p. per jar.the price does go up and down a bit at times but I think the most I paid for it was around 13 p.I found it great for a basis for most curries and if you want to liven it up a bit you can with extra herbs and spices. When ever its down to 4p again I shall stock up as its very tasty and stores well.I use to jars afterwards for cleaning paint brushes in,or storing odds and ends.If you think its too hot then chuck a cheapo cream frais tub or natural yoghurt in it to 'cool it' down a bit.One of my grandsons adores curry sauce with his chips so at 4p its cheaper than from the chippy. I actually made some mince with the curry sauce and a tin of tomato's and used it as a base for a red spicy tomato lasagne. Made a change from the white cheesey sauce0
