Have you any idea why you are being refused?0

I would suggest talking to your own bank first. You have some history with them.0

Would it be possible to, in the first instance, purchase a cheap car? Say, £1,500? I should imagine your bank, providing no other issues are in play, would provide that to you.0

If your desperate for a car - and are even prepared to get a 30% CC, then what about:

Don't understand why you want to get a credit card to buy a car. Surely a personal loan or finance would be the way to go so you pay less interest?0

I think this is really good advice, a bank loan is way cheaper than a credit card Good luck with thisSealed pot challenge 5430 -
but why are they saying he will lose his job now?
did he have a car before that has broken?
the the company provide a car then take it back? in which case they need to provide a replacement.Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)
new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,0000 -
we have already been to our own bank they wont give as a personal loan i have already applied for others and no one will give us a loan!we have always had a car and his company wont give him one its all such a mess we have tried gettin a 1000 pounds from them but it is still no! the only other option is to up my overdraft limit and pay it back that way!would this be an ok idea?0

What's wrong with the car you have?
If he needs a car for work, the company should be paying for it.0
