Help!! Pre-lightbulb holiday dilemma

Morning
OK, phoned them and the options are:
(i) Defer until next year - won't lose deposit, but £35 admin charge and if we change location, etc, at the same time no further charge (so could get something cheaper at the same time)
(ii) Shorten the holiday - again an admin charge, but £300 cheaper
I can't defer until after 27th April when next year's summer holidays are available and I've got until 21st June to decide what I want to do.
Or cancel.
Think I'll defer to next year.Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Not a bad plan. If you get the chepie prices too later on you might save even more.
When you phone up later, beg for further discounts saying youve seen it on the internet and its way cheaper etc.
Greece isnt that expensive really, teletext hols is full of those going for a couple of hundred max ( of course not taking into account underoccupancy) Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hello,
Only read this thread this morning, but could have given you advise a couple of days ago. I'm a homeworking teletext travel Agent.
Unfortunately the only way you can cancel and get your deposit back is by claiming through the insurance company, but you would have to have a medical reason for cancelling. If thats not possible, then you will loose your deposit.
You will be tied to the same travel company but maybe they can offer 7 nts at a small admin fee, or you can even change your destination to a cheaper holiday, or change form Half Board to Self catering, there will be quite a lot of choices.
Someone mentioned about selling your holiday to someone else, you can't do this, as the lead name must stay the same.
Hope it works out for you
Kind Regards
