Oh crikey: we'll all think what we think. I'm pretty sure I regularly PM the same person twice over under different names, but I don't know, so be it.
Can I be someone else, too? I'm bored of this user name0 -
On top of all my other sins against sanctimonious SteveJ, I'd like to make a confession.
I am Dithering Dad.0 -

Ahh ... More of the warm, friendly, empathetic prose I'm used to ...0 -
What's the obsession with Dithering Dad anyway?
Seriously?"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -

Why did you thank mewbie when he called him @sshole then'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. IIRC, the bloke posting it was savaged by quite a few people, so I disregarded the advice. I'm starting to wonder if I was correct to do so.
This isn't an advice forum though - it's all debate and a lot of people here are going to be wrong about what they passionately argue in favour of, no matter how much they assert otherwise
Edit: Oops, didn't realise this was already up to 5 pages, and with a Sock Puppet accusation discussion raging along no less! Ah well, better do my bit - here ya go -0 -
With respect Stevej, I dont need to justify my life choices to you. I personally have seen at too close quarters exactly what I have described. As a result, I opted out of claiming benefits for precisely that reason, and decided instead to take a different route.
With respect bendix, you say you have lived in subsidised housing, received benefits through your fathers unemployment and received a state education until you were at least 21 and I guess you received a maintenance grant as well. Yet through your posts I sense utter disregard for those unfortunate to not possess your presumable abilities and unwillingness to pay for those less fortunate (although you now appear to deny this).
I assume you are a legal bod (after applying some intellectual curiosity) your pm to LIR is a bit of a clue. Apologies if any assumptions I have made are incorrect.
BTW commiserations over your dad.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
