Up to three weeks. The 'client' bit made me laugh - she was disappointed when I introduced myself saying I was there to support her. She whispered I should have said I was her planning consultant! But I did get paid, in a way, I got several sticks of rhubarb from her garden which I need to do something with tomorrow.
Just had my sister on the phone about her wedding. I'm so pleased for them. I need to think about a frock as I'm bridesmaid.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I can't face doing any more work tonight so I'm just going to sort out a lunch for tomorrow and maybe read the paper ........."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Since my morning post it has been all go here!! When the lunchtime carer came in I asked her to help me hang out my washing - which she was happy to do - all I did was hand her the pegs and by the time we got back inside I was out of breath:( its been a bit like that most of today -so will be heading for an early bed to see if that helps.
****Slight rant coming - totally off topic - feel free to ignore***
Toxic arrived (about an hour and a half later than she said) while the carer was still here - she had done some of the shopping but didnt get some stuff and didnt get the quantities of other things and I asked her to get basic/cheap items but some were far dearer than i would normally pay- but anyway what she did was a great help and will keep me going - she also went to mr A and got some of the missing bits so I have some stuff to keep me going.
I asked her to make me lasagne which she willingly did so I have enough for 8 meals to put in freezer tomorrow and there is another pot of soup which we threw together before she went using the turkey stock.
She swept the kitchen floor and generally tidied up the kitchen - she is a bit of a messy cook!
My evening carer was early and toxic was still here so he didnt have to hang about - he is another phillipino - a bit older and seems very nice - he was able to tell me that he will be in tomorrow evening too.
Toxic told me all about her problems at work and I think she had been needing to get it of her chest and as I know the people involved slighty and some of it has been going on for about a year or more she knew I would let her discuss it. She also knew that I would not be too happy about some of it as i had warned her away back and she now she says 'You were right- I should have listened to you' - I dont feel pleased that it has turned out like that and I am sorry that she is in this position now. I tried so hard to warn her not to get involved with this employee. She feels that if it is not suitably dealt with she may have to find another job.
And then I heard all about the family news- the GGS christening in september, her holdiay with the daughter and her pig of a hhusband to Italy in a couple of weeks - how her own hubby is coming to look after the house while she is in Italy and could I find things for him to do - etc etc
And when she comes in next week to do my shopping again (ha! ha!) would I help her book travel lodge for the christening and flights for the return from her hols and when i am fit she needs me to go out and give her PC lessons!:rotfl:
***sorry rant over****
I must sound really ungrateful - I certainly am not - I would have done an online shop and maybe I will in future. I am very grateful to toxic for the shopping and cooking she did today - it will make meal planning for the next wee while a lot easier - but I will probably still need to find some way of doing a top-up soon too.
She was impressed with the kitchen - 1 up to me!!!
AND she was asking after the 2 lovely ladies she met at the hospital jjef and SSL:D:D
While toxic was at Mr A the community alarm lady appeared and that has now been installed.
the district nurse is coming to meet me tomorrow and see if there is anything that the surgery can help with.
have had my best friend on the phone tonight and she was going to come through to see me but she is running herself ragged trying to get ready for her holidays so I persuaded her to wait until next week - I think I need a little bit of rest too.

Toots babes.... it must be really difficult for you not being able to just get on with things how you have done before. Online shopping sounds like the way to go, maybe get toxic to do your top-up shop instead?MMSSB Club Founder Member
