How about burning a few of his bits when you iron and he may see that its safer to get someone to do it than you ruining his favourite whatever??? As for clearing the loft and taking 2 days - what on earth did you have up there - I may have to give a special award star for that since we dont do brownie points :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
:rotfl:it was unbelievable!! ex-hub was a hoarder and Ive been putting it off and putting it off as I rarely go up there. ( I hate heights and always feel like I'm going to fall back down throught the hatch, no matter how far away I am! :rotfl:)
When I finally made it up there, the WHOLE lift space was full of junk. and I do mean full! Its pretty much empty now except for a few bits that I want to keep and they are organised into specific piles.
I love the idea of burning his things. Problem is, I told him I hated ironing because I had to stand up for so long (nothing wrong with me, just an excuse) so he bought me a steam press so I can sit down to do it! It IS better, I suppose, but still....
I have to say that it has been this ongoing thread that has served to help in my motivation to do the house. Just starting off by actually following the lists, showed me that if I actually DID something, rather that sitting on my behind all day feeling miserable about the state of the house, great improvements could be made.
Its not perfect and with 4 rugrats it probably wont be for a very long time, but it's a nicer place to live now, easier to have a quick tidy (and if I'm honest probably smells a bit sweeter too!! although one of the neighbours kids asked me why my house smelt like a swimming pool the other day... I must cut down on the bleach :rotfl:)
It's good to be back:rotfl:If you have made someone laugh today... check your skirt isn't tucked into your knickers!!!:rotfl:SarahShattered wrote: »Mrs B you're a legend.0 -

I've achieved nothing today, fruitless hunting at the charity shops, Dyson died, I lent my laptop out to a friend and had to find all my log-ins for this cranky old pc..bleh.

I need to sort out the washing but I really can't be bothered. I might get it done before bed....maybe
Poor Holly, your migraine sounds awful. You did well not to throw up til you got home
Hugs Michelle
Frodders, in Guildford its 70p for half an hour. I know 50p for an hour isn’t much, it’s just that I don’t want an hour! So really it’s usually 50p for 20 minutes! I don’t know why they took the option to get 20 minutes away, they used to have it when I first moved here. Well, I do know why they took it away, they get more money! Where do you send your ink cartridges too, and where do you get the bags? I need to recycle ours but don’t know where I can do it
Toots, glad that Toxic was able to help you, sorry she wore your ear off and tired you out with her woes. Could you not say you feel tired and need a lie down? You need to look after yourself, I’m sure that anyone who cares about you will understand if you are not up to long visits or intense conversations
Well done 1 Step with the star – I always used to clean like a mad woman when I had PMT. I remember being at work once and informing my colleagues that I wasn't going to serve any customers I was just going to clean out the back! They took it quite well considering, but I think they could see from my face that any encounters with customers that day might not be pleasant! I scrubbed all my aggression out! :rotfl:"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

toottifrootti wrote: »pigpen I have lost the place with you and college - are you on holiday or something? was the vet happy with Hazel? Is the injection just a precaution or has the wound got infected?
College.. I have finished!!! I needed 45 credits and I have 57 so the university place is secured.. or it will be if the moron tutor gets her act together in the morning and has my assignments marked and will sign off my work so I can hand my folders in!
the vet was most pleased with Hazel.. She ripped the head collar off the minute we got home from the vet and I haven't put her another one on and she hasn't bother with it at all she has been an absolute angel.. The AB's are a precaution while she heals. She has the pellet still lodged in her brain so it will prevent any infection from that while it forms a fibrous layer around it to protect her. The wound is healing nicely apparently.
Tiddles is most distressed by the stitches.. she htough they were needles stuck in her eye.. they are huge dissolvable stitches with massive knots in them lol.. no idea how long they will take to come out but they aren't going to be doing it in a hurry!

Flitting through again. Day's supply in lovely school, then took DS2 to buy his IPod Touch which was what he wanted for his birthday. 15 today, my baby all grown up! Lovely meal out this evening.
DS2's statistics exam went okay it seems.
Love and hugs to toots and lady liberty.

I'm not sure if I'm working tomorrow, but if not, I'll be flying like mad to catch up on the ground floor - although it doesn't look too bad.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
