feel like crying had two electricians round and have quoted £600-£800 to put the electrics right in the kitchen!!!

Really want to speak to the cowboy kitchen fitter and wonder if I should go to trading standards.
MOJ2 dont know what has been going on honey but if an electrician has botched his work then get on to his registration body - they come out and inspect the work and it gets put right at his expense not yours! trading standards should be able to keep you right too.

...... but I like cleaning & ironing, I keep joking that I'm a bit OCD with it but I like list, plans, routines e.t.c. and I see housework as exercise and it beats watching crap on the box, not that I've got one, why anybody would sit & watch how clean is your house with a sink full of dishes is beyond me.
ooooooh are you my twin sister that I never knew i had:rotfl::rotfl: I think we all have OCD tendencies on (some more than most but you will find out about them in time - nod nod same no more:rotfl:) - lists are ESSENTIAL (well in my book anyway) and i quite agree about the box - I dont have one - loads of it is carp and yes Kim and Aggie are a great help IF YOU USE THEIR IDEAS!!!!! No point sitting there expecting the fairies to do it for you - i should know they have missed me for years:rotfl::rotfl:
FFP - I am glad you feel up to posting again honey - i did miss you - thanks for the pm- I will be in touch soon.
emily great to see you again - hope everything is going well with you and Dh - what about your godson - how is he?
tia hope you are taking it steady - is the bump growing?

    Monday's list all done :) Toots/Soappie (sounds like a tag team ;)):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I've been to the vet with my dog this morning. We noticed a swelling on one of her ear pads yesterday. She's covered in lumps (fatty cysts) but this was different. Apparently she's got bad ears (spaniel ears) and must have rubbed her ear too hard or shaken it and hit it because she's got a haematoma now. She's had an injection and special drops which do fleas/earmites/lice and Uncle Tom Cobley and all. Got to take her back on Thursday to see how it's doing but she'll probably have to have it drained. Good job I'm rich....
PMSL.. polly and what a team we would make:D Sorry to hear about woof - hope the drops cure/sort it ...vets are extornists on the side!!!!
Its ok ladies - you can put your thinking caps away - Soappie had the brilliant idea of creating the new identity so she could get me an early post (I had gone to bed before the new thread appeared) and that way if I go awol or cant manage she can carry on and use it - but hopefully (fingers crossed) I, me , thats Toots, will be doing the stars (and soappie will get a rest!):rotfl:
Dinx aw honey i think a lot of us hate kitchen day - I know i did yntil i conquered it once and for all - so stick with it - even if it takes you a couple of days try to get the better of it and i hope then you wont find it such a chore - there's a pm coming your way shortly.
carol hope you have a brilliant time angel - just get that lazy so-in-so tellt to do his clothes or you will pack nothing for him - and yes put your mind at ease and check the taxi - oh yes ....and breathe ....calm....breathe (((hugs)))
    Dear all
I've been lurking on here for some time admiring how organised and enthusiastic you all are. Would you mind if I joined you? I think it would be the right way for me to get control of the mess that is our house before we move (which is meant to be in the next six weeks...mmmm).
It would also be nice to have a home on MSE!
Hi poorbutrich I am not sure where/what you are reading but I dont think we can be classed as organised:rotfl::rotfl: well i definately cant thats for sure -of course you can join us and it will be good for you to get some routines in place before your move - you will want to keep your new home tidy from the start. will be sending you a pm shortly.
kazm hope they get it resolved soo - *positive outcome* vibes winging in DH's diresction. hang in there honey.

I have had a busyish day with interuptions - I had a nice long visit from my macmillan nurse and we sorted out some stuff - then since no-ne had appeared I made my lunch - in stages - after which I cut up the rest of the turkey meat - the bones are now making stock - the rest in the freezer - I have had Brit gas on the phone wanting me back as a customer and the npower at the door offering me £250 to sign there and then (a range of offers/discounts that seems too good to be true) but I said 'no' maybe i was wrong to turn down money but it just didnt sound right and I want time to check it out. then the case worker came with more forms and then a phone call from a friend and then I had no sooner sat down again when the evening carer popped in - she was early but had just been asked to fit me in so she has made up a nice salad for me for later.

All this coming and going is tiring too!! I have toxic coming tomorrow to do some shopping for me and the district nurse is due as well - no rest for the wicked!

Ok off to put my other ID on and update the stars.
    toots xx

ETA rosepink doing accounts is not something to be messed with if you dont know what you are doing - you could be missing claiming or even worse not declaring something and end up in a right mess -why dont you try going onto the 'Pure Money' board - maybe the 'Cutting tax' threads and see if you can get help there. HTH
    Peace will be mine

    hello all.

    Flower-thank you

Toots- the problem is it wasn't an electrician who did it but someone that said they could. Feel sorry for believing him but my dad is good at everything. He has rewired his house, done the boiler (few years ago now) so I do know that there are some people that are good at all things. Just my kitchen fitter that isn't,
Am looking at getting a 'proper' electrician to fix things and take it from there.

Flower is wonderful and has said she will help me hang some wall units :D:D:D What a star.
