Back from my walk with ExOH1 - boy was it hot. We walked around the back streets of Dorchester and along a very pretty river there. I've just had avocado and salad for lunch and have a machine full of washing in. It's not so hot now I'm home as we have a nice see breeze so it should dry well.

Am now going to finish off the kitchen

    :xmastree: I HATE THE KITCHEN

    - there got that off my chest.

Used to be a regular flyer until I started back at w*rk. Now a lurker and very reluctant flyer, but I do try each week to keep up:rotfl:.

But today for some reason I have looked at the list, my heart sank and I realised that I hate the kitchen. My kitchen is skanky, never clean and always cluttered and no matter how hard I try I can never keep on top of it:o.

Off to fly now to fit in half an hour _pale_ before school pick up (skulks off to kitchen of doom).

  • Right, just caught up with the thread! Yep, I am loving knitting sofar, I can cast on and off, but can only do 1 type of stitch.. I think it is purl(?!) even though I was taught the opposite one.. and I can't do anything fancy - just squares and scarfs at the moment! But it is fun and very relaxing!

Ok, this week I am having a MACAW.. to wash the pots every day!!! I hate hate HATE the washing up (no matter how often I do it, there's always some more...) So I'll be collecting errant pots to do tonight before I start on the list. Kitchen has stayed quite nice since last week, so I reckong I can finish the list today (she says... have probably jinxed it now!!)

Kaz I hope everything went ok for your OH... x

Wow a whole day almost wasted.
I've been attempting to sort out my free webhost, and keep getting error messages after trying for hours. I've only done the minimum washing of dishes for the day and need to get my kitchen deep cleaned!
I'm going to try to do this today with you guys on my mind for support :)

One good thing, my daughter is applying for a job in ASDA so that will be productive if we/she hand the application in today! Anyone know how they are as employers for 16 year old school leavers? I'm really hoping they are flexible with her hours of work.

Work finished...I am soooo sleepy! Third washing load on. Kitchen sparkly. Clinic sparkly. Lots to put away from the caravan but will do that later.

Off to take DS to the docs shortly - caused a panic when he turned up at school lots of 'whatever's wrong' questions - he looked chinese! His eyes were so swollen they just were slits (I knew but sent him anyway) - I know what it is - he has developed hay fever - but I'm hoping for a diagnosis and eye and nose drops which chemist wouldn't sell me due to his age - he's bigger than me!
But it is clearly causing him major problems as it' s waking him up in the night. And the noise he makes wakes me too. his eyes are gumming up too. Still the (bit of) rain we have had today has helped...
And as prescriptions are free I can save my hard-earned for the OTC stuff for me!

:D:rotfl::rotfl: sounds like TUPE - what you go through when the company you work for changes hands

That's what I keep thinking (having been sent a letter about my job being TUPE'ed, last week :o )
