Take aways reusing previous days food?

I know places like Greggs resell the previous days pasties and sausage rolls the next morning
I used to work for The Bakers oven (years ago though) which was classed as a up market gregs. All of the stock we had was sorted into returns (bread and teacakes and things) and all the pasties, pies, sausage rolls and cream cakes were thrown away in big bin bags. I don't know what happened to the returns after the driver picked them up, but I always thought it was a waste of good food ( we did have some good food fights though!!)

Nothing there for Wales, great find though. Hopefully more councils will use it in time.
