I have a serial for XP Home and a disc and serial for XP MCE which i paid the extra £5 to get.
So just format both machines and install the other operating system?
Anybody know which drivers i would need to download from Dell for the 5150?0

Um, does XP Home allow dual CPU's? I've got this odd memory telling me it is single processor only.
I personally thought that was the reason they bundled the PC with MCE rather than Home in the first place.
 XP Hpme = 1 CPU
 XP Pro = multiple CPU's
XP MCE is XP Pro with some bits removed/added therefore allows multiple CPU's.
Did a quick search and got this:
"[It does not allow SMP (multi-processors) but...]Windows XP Home Edition does, however, support the Hyper-threading functionality present on some Intel microprocessors. Although it has been reported to work on some dual-core microprocessors available from both AMD and Intel, Microsoft has recommended upgrading to Professional Edition for improved stability and compatibility."0

Dual CPU's! Not impressed so far with my 5150 - when playing audio files from my hard drive with windows media player the music stutters badly when I open other applications or dial up the internet for example. Anyone else have this trouble? Is it that the hard drive is not up to it? I have the 80Gb one, what is the cache on this?0

I have a 5100 with the 250GB HDD and I don't have any trouble playing music from WMP, browsing the web and using Word/Excel all at the same time. Sounds like a hard disk problem to me.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

It may also be a problem with the ram if your having problems opening programs or going onto the internet, that would slow things down if it was faulty.0

Your best bet might be to visit https://www.dmxdimension.com each day. At the moment the 5150 deal is not very good as it is now £499 and with only half a gig of RAM. They've also downgraded the OS from media center to XP Home.
Edit: Hang on, I thought XP Home didn't support two processors???0

As previously stated, xp home is a simplified xp proffesional. I can assure you that it does support dual cores as I own a 5150!! (with 7900gt sweet!!)Link now removed! sorry0

XP Home supports a single CPU (dual core or single core).
XP Pro supports two (or more) physical CPUs.
 Hope this helps.0

            Cheers.
I was looking at a web site about the differences - it was obviously written before dual core processors. Thanks for clearing that up.0
