Soon to be Mum & Door Callers

Thanks for the replies. It's not so much how to deal with the nuisance callers but more of a means to manage the flurry of junk! It is more because I am at home now and will moreso be when the baby comes in the next week or so, as normally I would be at work and come home to the pile of leaflets and bags and literally carry the whole lot through to the recycle bin (and stash the charity bags in the cupboard for use as bin bags). But when you are here and the letterbox goes, you can't help but instinctively go and see what's come through - damn annoying if you have just got yourself down for a bit of a nap.
I may well look at the fitting of an external mail box and sign it up that all leaflets to be posted there - it least it takes the traffic away from the letterbox and we can just empty it periodically.
But thanks again for the replies.0 -

I used to have a 'Quiet please, baby sleeping' sign which was quite effective when my 2ds's were small (had no doorbell anyway, just a knocker).
If anyone rings now, my dd seems to sleep through it quite well. Anyone but the postman gets a filthy look and 'no thank you' with the door shut in their face. Quite often I am sleeping with baby so makes me really grumpy.
When I was pregnant, I would quite often sleep for 3 hours or so in the afternoon late on in the pregnancy. So I quite understand. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'
