I have they said I couldnt get one until the payment has cleared, so i have to phone again. Im going to have make double payments to make any difference to the balance, which I cant afford at the moment.

I'm sure that's not legal. Is it a credit agreement, I guess so? There are template letters for getting statements somewhere on the main DFW board: might be here:

Fire Fox, its a nightmare. I woked out that I have paid over £800 since the agreement started and it literally has not decreased ! How is that even possible !

I have given all the details to my mum and shes going to phone up for them to explain (of course she will be kiddin on shes me but shes alot more agressive at getting things done than i am :p), will see what happens there.

I am thinking though that I may be cheaper to phone up my credit card company explain the situation, ask if I could have a much larger credit card limit and then pay the windows off with that. I really dont think theyll give me a huge limit though but maybe if i pay off the balance this month they will be nicer to me. Has anybody tried asking for a much larger balance and have they agreed to it ?

I will be able to make payments of at least 300 as of january aswell.

Or if anybody has information on full and final payments. In this situation would I be able to say right I have £3000 saved up to pay off the remaining balance (this is for in the future), I can offer this amount now and pay this balance as full and final payment without having to pay the early repayment charge (which is nearly £1000 !). I have no idea how that works.

    What a horrible day.

More stuff going on with the awful factors of my building.

Have looked over my docs for the windows financial agreement. I have no idea what to do about it. I feel like I was bullied into the loan and that I was missold it in the first place but I dont know what to do about it. I have checked the paperwork and its not £1000 i have to pay for early repayment of the loan (if i manage to save up almost £3000 next year to pay it off) its actually £1000 per £1000 of your loan ! So basically id have to pay £3000 on top of the £3000 id be paying to pay it off.

Also... after going over the budget again.

End of this month I can pay off the full amount of my credit card and pay the gas arrears. While still having £250 left.
  • Dont know what to suggest about the windows - but as people have said, surely this cant be legal? and there must be something that can be done about it!

Also wanted to say :money: with next months budget.. will feel great to clear something. Just keep your eye on that goal and might bring you some happiness.

Hopefully some of the guys will have some advice re the windows.

  • Aww thank you September & Gembaxter ! Positive comments are always welcome.

Ye i cant wait to have something cleared off, although my credit card limit isnt that big (£500) it hasnt been at 0 since I got it a few years ago because everything else has taken my money. Think its about time to clear it and then leave it at home until im debt free and i can spend money on it and clear it every month to build my credit rating back up.

Got loads of shifts with work coming up and lots that i want to do before my room mate moves in.

Budget says that Ill have 320 after everything I want paid is paid, but then I have £60 travel for the rest of the month and food so Im thinking £200 could be saved for next month. As I have decided that I will be taking this new job when the offer is in writing so Im guessing Ill be a little short on money next month.
  • Ooooh glad to hear you made a decision on the job front and good for you i think you've made the right decision.

:money: It will be worth being a little short for one month in the long run.

  • Ye and im hoping to get a car next year. I know this can be expensive but I have checked out the cost roughly for insurance (cheaper than my brothers who has been driving for years, even when i said i have only had my licence for 2 months ! crazy !) and it will save me alot of time travelling and mean that I can work more days a week because Ill not be as tired from the travel.
