Ok, at odds with work over my last wage slip as they have clearly underpaid me and are trying to make out that im deluded over my overtime. I have a copy of all the rotas for the month and my own spreadsheet. I know exactly how many hours I worked and I def wasnt paid for them. Id rather not have to wait til next payday for it.
The interest on my overdraft has really taken a hit for next month, its down to £13, it was over £50 in jan. Im really happy with that.
My mum kindly came over while I was at work the other day and cleaned my kitchen (my cleaning is never quite as good as hers lol) and hoovered the house. She also did a basic shop for me since I havent had the time for it recently.
Spare room is nearly finished, just needs the last bit of wallpaper put up. Kitchen floor has been replaced (my mums friend did it as he has his own company, didnt pay for fitting as they are friends).
Plan for Sept is to continue with the scratch cards each day, taking as many hours I can for work, trying to forget about clothes (bought 3 things last month and they were taken back), paint the kitchen and basically gut my whole home.0 -
Called virgin media. I want to leave and go to sky (this is the same conversation I had not even that long ago), why do you want to go to sky, because theyll give me a better deal, ah but will they give you this that and the other, yes they will, oh ok well how about we give you a virgin media plus box and access to the HD channels for free, ye ok, so youd like to stay with the company, yes yes I would...
The previous conversation got me an upgrade to the biggest tv package they have for free (which comes with access to the on demand music for free as an XL customer) and the other day I upgraded my 2mb to 10mb broadband, also for free.
I like being a "valued" customer. The new box is getting installed next friday.0 -

Well done Claire! I tried that with Sky, but got nowhere. I basically got told if I want to leave then leave. grrrr. they must have known that they would call my bluff as i love sky so much.
I'm clearly *not* a valued customer....Paying down the mortgage:
At 1 October 2011: £226,000
Currently: £224,499
Aim: 85% LTV (£212,500)
Paid £1,500
Target remaining: 88.89%0 -
Just stumbled across your diary..... Would you not be better speaking to your credit card and asking them if they can offer you a lower rate to put ALL your debt on one card. This may help you with paying less interest.

Nah my credit card has a higher interest rate than the other stuff, also nobody is going to give me a credit card with the amount I would need for that.0

See i love virgin media, they dont know that but I do and I dont want to leave lol. The woman on the phone thought she talked me into staying, I get a free upgrade its all win win
Why dont you try again and do a wee bit of research for the virgin media costs and see if you can get a nicer person to give you free things, worth another try.0 -

Have been offered a new job.
A 42p wage rise, a little less responsiblity til im settled, more hours with more overtime available but longer to travel. Im thinking of taking it though because even a little bit extra an hour is good and id only have 1 job.0 -
