about to try and find an outlet for a load of videos

Ooooooh if you find one will you post it as we have literally hundreds lurking behind our sofa as we feel its a dreadful waste to throw them out but dont own a VCR to play them on!!! :rotfl:

Urg - Thats probably all the excitement about a venue you can expect from a man! OH was the same with the venue for Pips Naming Ceremony. He came and viewed it and said " Hmmmm its Ok" despite the fact that it was here!!494098.jpg

And the meal was in here:

    OK indeed!!!

I managed to do it all relatively cheaply ( All in, including new outfits for the 3 of us, its cost us £2000 for 40 people to have a 4 course sit down meal, drinks after ceremony and with their meal and for the room to be decorated nicely) so if you want any tips PM me x x x

WOW Pip's mum - how beautiful! There are some beautiful parts of the site that I have chosen. It's just the hall which looks like a School hall. The hall can be decorated - I just need to work out what our budget is.

40 people sounds like bliss - we'll have over 100 to the ceremony and possibly about 500 to the reception! That's only the first day! We will have another reception on day 2! OH's sorting that one though!

The craziest thing I encountered with the decorations was that if I ordered 3 balloons tied together in a tier it was £8 something but if you ordered 3 seperate balloons and tied them together yourself it cost £3? Madness!!!

    Wow 500!! Eeeeek!!

That's the sort of the thing that the guy at the venue was talking about.

I think I need to organise a family meeting next week about what we need to do/want to do and what the budget is.

At the moment I am thinking about the way things look - but I really want it to be how things 'feel'. I want it to be a fun and enjoyable couple of days (even if it will be exhausting!).

Better get on with the list. I am meeting OH for dinner tonight. It's a nice night so it'll be nice to go out.

    Have a great evening.

    • [STRIKE]explore bigwardrobe* [/STRIKE] you're right - it is addictive! Will keep exploring some more...
    • make lunch for Monday last thing left to do... think I'll re-heat some soup and take it in a flask in the morning...

Hi all - I'm absolutely pooped. The last few days have been packed but great fun. We've had loads of family birthdays this week so this weekend was one big celebration and best of all my sister came to visit with my 7 week old nephew who I hadn't met yet. He is lovely. :smileyhea

    1) Friday was T's 4th birthday, so we had a quiet day then a little party in the garden at tea time. When he blew out his candles he said ' this has been the most lovely party, hasn't it?' . Bless him.
    2) Friday was also a NSD!
    3) Yesterday was spent at Wimborne Folk Festival. B does folk dancing and performs there every year, and it a great, cheap fun day out. But blimmin knackering!
    4) Today was a LSD for me, just bought some water.
    5) The whole family went to a local farm and had a picnic in the sun, walked by the river and played ball etc. It was an idyllic day.
    6) This evening I am going to watch a newspaper freebie DVD that I got from a charity shop for cheap entertainment.

Hope this thread is so quiet because everyone else is having fun too!

    Catch you tomorrow. L x
