Sat 13/Sun 14 June - What small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Just thought I'd get us started.

Will post my list once I've had coffee and thought about it!

    Morning :o)

Last night I shopped at Lidl and spent £28.25, have made a meal planner for the week so the only extras should be bread and milk if needed.

Packed lunches for us this week, DD1 and DD2 have packed lunches anyways but I have stopped buying the little bottles of fruit shoot etc and am now giving them cordial in their drinking bottles.

Also I was spending a fortune on biscuits, like Time Outs etc for the packed lunches, have changed this to 2 cookies each (smart price packets).

Sorted out some things for ebay, among these some items which should fetch a good price I hope such as a cd car stereo which has been in the drawer for about 2 years and a pair of white ice skating boots which I have used once ! (Was inspired by Dancin on Ice but I am rubbish). Also found the kids old dance mat in a cupboard and 4 games for it hich never gets used so that can go on too !

Waiting for postman to bring me my package and then I am going to have a good clean of the house.

My ironing pile is HUGE ! I want to get it out of the way too!

Load of washing alredy on line and another in machine now.

My sister and nephew and niece coming later and the girls coming back from the in-laws at 11am so I best get my skates on !!!

Hoping for a No Spend Weekend !!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day x

    I am intrigued !

Having a quick cuppa now, downstairs all done, have upstairs yet to do and going to go thru the kids toyboxes with them to see what can be sold (pennies for Disneyland Paris) and I have about 15 mins before my sister arrives and I am still in my dressing gown - oops !!!!!!!!!

Scratchcards are a way of making a free 80p a week (minimum). See this thread as a starting point. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1412565
I joined littlewoods bingo site via Quidco and got an extra £10. You do have to play £5 on bingo to get the cashback.

    Hope this helps

    Hello all

    So far today I've:
    • scratch card - 10p
    • daily clicks
    • checked online banking - had a nasty surprise yesterday when a payment I wasn't expecting came out but no similar incidents today, thankfully
    • cancelled free equifax trial so don't get charged £14
    • listed 5 more books on Amazon marketplace. Would be great to get another sale today, next disbursement date is tomorrow.
    • checked cashback sites - grrr, still only £16.07 payable on mirrorcashback...
    • checked survey sites - no new paying surveys for me but did lots of little polls on Toluna for 15points each.
    • bloke from agency has been around for flat inspection - it is looking nice and tidy now so just need to keep it that way
    • postie's just been, looks like one of my swaps from bigwardrobe has arrived, yay!
    • updated spend diary
    Still to do today:
    • count up pile of small change found in a tin last weekend!
    • photograph some items for sale on ebay and get them listed
    • try on trousers from bigwardrobe swap and leave feedback for the sender
    • sort through cupboards and see what food we have in, make a list for tomorrow's shop
    • think a bit more about this 101 list
    • update blog, haven't done it for ages
    • relax and take it easy for the rest of the day as still feeling under the weather and seems that OH now has the same thing
Good luck to everyone with their tasks this weekend!
