  • Shame you have to pay her a penny really but not a bad result all told.

Best of luck to you, hope your business goes from strength to strength now.

Think this is a good outcome as it could have been worse. I'm sure you're the happier. I hope she thinks it was worth it for £400 which, as said, won't last her long whilst you can put it all behind you and move on.

Im not sure how much your legal bill has went to, but I wonder if offering her £500 to go away to begin with might have been the cheaper option.

I`m relieved at the result and the amount, she was seen in town last week with a face as long as the M6.
    Still out of work.... Shame......

Thanks to everybody for their input and advice, it was a big help:A

It was £490, but we didn`t make any kind of offer as my and her solicitor suggested a few thousand!

Spoke to my solicitor last night, he asked for a copy of the judgement as there will probably be a recoupment of sums as she`s been on benefits. So that means she`ll get even less that than the £500 after DWP take their cut. Result!!
