not sure if i'm confused or i've confused everyone else, just to clarify, the tower doesn't have a usb port(not that i can see) so he's using sd card that came with camera in the sd slot on printer, but when you insert card there are no prompts on computer monitor, does this mean the info isn't getting to the computer in the first place?
So of this isn't making sense.

The card slot on the all in one device is intended for printing direct from a card without a PC, not for copying to the PC via the printer.
BTW, how are you connecting this printer to the PC? Surely it is a USB device and doesn't still come with a parallel port? But you said you have no USB ports?

Ok, its just that on mine, HP, it throws a prompt up asking what you want to do, ie save to a folder.
I'm assuming it must be a parallel port, ( thick black lead) as i didn't see a usb port.

The model you quote in your header does not exist. Nearest I can find on the Brother site are the DCP 150C and the DCP 115C. Both of these are USB only. Neither offers a parallel port connection, all printers in the last few years are USB only.
So I would be curious as to how this is connected, unless ther's some sort of USB-parallel convertor? In any case, you won't be able to read the card from the PC via the printer.

Money-grabber, my post was a post pub reply to the previous posts, re mug/usb.

Yes, but I was referring to the part about downloading the Win 98 Drivers!:D I just forgot to delete the link to the USB mug.
