That one looks fine to me
I hope you have a good trip:D0 -
I've done the change at PHL airport, and you'll have NO problems getting across the airport in that kinda time.
Immigration, baggage and customs can be done in 30 minutes, another 30 minutes to get through security and onto the bus, and then 10 mins to get to Terminal F.
You have to be at the gate 15 minutes before departure for your flight, so that gives you an hour to prop up the "Jet Rock Bar" in Terminal F, and have a beer or three.. (though it is kinda expensive, but it's a good bar!)

Hethmar enjoy your trip and like we have all said do not be shy about asking anyone,99.9% are very helpful.
I would also ask your friends who are collecting you in Syracuse to explain what number to dial them (if you use an Amercian Phone box) if the internal flight is running late.
And finally do come back and tell us what a great break you had !"Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."

Im very grateful to everyone. Still sitting here fiddling with the timetable, whether to leave 5 rather than 4th. Dont want to outstay my welcome but I understand trips to places like Lake Placid and Niagara Falls are on the cards. Plus the brides parents are providing "cottages" round the local lake for out of town guests.
Fingering my credit card as we speakWondering how to handle ear pain too.
Many thanks to everyone, I certainly wouldnt have even tried without you lot. Im afraid I shall probably be back asking how I change over with bags and stuff later on.
Oh and my passport ran out last year - I dont think swaps take long though do they. I shall have to wait til this rather large swelling under my eye (came up yesterday - virus doctor says, anti biotics - see what I mean about old age!) goes rather than have that on my passport for the next 10 years.0 -

hethmar you are testing us all :rotfl: You need to get the passport organised asap, the summer is a very busy time for them and to be honest without causing you any more worry I would check the waiting list before you book your flight. It may be you have to have an interview ( I am not saying you will just maybe) to renew your passportwhich means going to the passport office itself.
You will also need very good travel insurance of course and also need to register before you go to the States read the opening post on this thread.

good on yer
My Opinion (FWIW) would be for planning to be there for longer, rather than less. from my experience, Americans go a long, long way out of their way for the Brits and you may be overwhelmed by the (very genuine) friendliness and hospitality that I'm sure that will be shown to you.
From what markymoo says, Philly sounds like a perfect hub for you and the secind flight option to/from looks idea, and its a few £ cheaper as well.
If you do register for the US Airways frequesnt flyer club, and you do know what type of plane you are flying on, pop along to Seatguru find the best seat for you and then choose that one (I've not travelled on US Airways before, but on AA its a simple click of the mouse to allocate your seat).
have a great time and tell us all, all about your trip.
p.s. don't forget to have your passport/ID handy if you want a drink in the airport - In Chicago airport, its no ID, no drink, regardless of your age.:eek:0
