    With a upvc door, if its your main door you need a split spindle. If it is a porch upvc door then a stright spindle is what you need. With a split spindle you can shut the door without shoot bolting your door and it will not open from the out side. With a straght spindle you can open the door from the outside untill you shoot bolt it and lock with key.
    Hope i have explained this ok.
    Easy to change by removing the handle.
