I too think this is terrible - I never saw the abuse on the original thread but to know that someone can get a thread pulled by bombarding it with abuse or rubbish is not a good thought. I think the thread should be re-instated without the trolls comments otherwise they have won and got what they wanted.
If Paul reads this thread then please know that not everyone thinks that way as you will have seen from most of the previous comments on the other thread (before the troll) - many of us still wish you good luck and I hope the coming months are much happier than the previous ones. Some People Live & Learn, Some People Just Live...0 -
Paul has PM me,asking where his thread has gone,i explained what happened, and he is distraught. they feel awful that we may think he is a scammer but i explained that is not how we felt, and that it was a stupid troll who has ruined it.
I have steered him to this thread so we can continue hopefully.TO FINISH LAST, FIRST YOU HAVE TO FINISH....0 -
You know what - this is such a shame!
I don't beleive for one second he's a "scammer" "conartist" or whatever - what i think is mr troll is indeed the man that took Paul to court......
I offered my £5 in support, and others felt compelled enough to follow - we didn't have to but we chose to!
Paul if your reading this I don't think your any of the above - just ignore.0 -
I will be honest, I reported the thread as well as I was tired of the abuse being thown at Paul and his family. And the one causing all of the trouble seems to post on a regular basis on other threads as well. I would hope that person gets banned too.0

I last saw the thread on Thursday night and the troll's attitude was jaw-dropping - abusive hardly begins to describe it, not just at Paul but anyone who dared to disagree with him/her. Soolin was more than justified in pulling it, it was upsetting me just to read it so god knows how it must have felt to be on the receiving end. I've PM'd Paul and asked him to ignore it - the troll is fairly and squarely in the minority here. I also PM'd Soolin and suggested that the troll gets barred from all forum posts in the future. He/she's replied to some of my posts on another forum - relatively polite posts but now I feel like taking a shower .... ugh £2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Just to let users know I did close the thread as it was well out of hand. It does appear that the forum team have removed it and will probably look at the posts in context to see if any further action needs to be taken, I am of course, not party to their deliebrations.
I'm sorry for those people that are disappointed that it was closed but at that point in late evening I felt I had no other option. Can I suggest that any further questions are addressed to the main forum team, you can send an email to them by clicking on the red triangle on this or any other post.
EDIT: I just wanted to say thank you to those users who sent me a pm to let me know what was happening. I wasn't really following the thread and probably would not have noticed if I hadn't been warned.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi All
Thanks for the PM's directing me over to the new thread.
Sorry its taken a couple of days but we were pretty mortified to hear what happened on my thread.
We are so concerned that any of you guys thought we were on a scam, because i swear on every thing i hold dear we are not. We only came on here to get some advice on what to do about the caravan sale and the help, support and advice was staggering, then for so many of you to offer us help to pay the judgement (which is now paid Reluctantly) We ended up with having to find £500 so we took out a 9 month interest free credit card with our bank and will clear gradually.
We totally understand if any one is having second thoughts and would like there donation back. Please just send me and email to the one you all have and i will return it via PP.
KInd regards to you all
Paul & Rachel0 -
@ Soolin, i'm sure we all understand you had no option but to lock the thread so no worries.
Glad Paul hasn't been scared off, just hope the troll doesn't come back....0 -
Hi Paul I'm glad you have been directed to the new thread and I hope that you can all now put this horrible experience behind you.0

Hi Paul, onwards and upwards mate
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0
